The CD release date rumor / speculation thread

As I've stated in this forum b4, I honestly believe that this cd is going to drop before 2007. But while Christmas shopping today I continued to wonder on what day it would be. Like I stated in an earlier thread, the majority of people who believe the album is coming out this year think it will be on 12/19. The fact that this day is being so strongly hinted at is causing me to doubt... a little. Maybe 12/12 could possibly be the day after all. I mean it would be a sneak attack and it is a "random Tuesday" as Merck stated it would be. Could it be possible that they will drop the album on 12/12 and then release their first single (video) on 12/19 in order to prevent "the leak" before being released. I mean this isn't just any old album.... this is "the most expensive album" and quite possiibly the most anticipated album ever. Maybe this is what Axl meant when he stated to RS Magazine that he "was trying to do something different". ?He furthur added that Chinese Democracy was going to be a "complicated album." I mean I'm not guaranteeing anything but it would be pretty sneaky since most of the signs out there right now are that it will be released on 12/19. Drop the album and then begin promoting the hell out of it !...... I don't know..... it's just the fact that nobody has really ever emphasized ?this Tuesday that makes me wonder. Maybe Chinese Democracy is in our Post Office's hands as you read this ....

The more I continue thinking about it .....the more I am thinking that quite possibility 12/12 could be the date that it drops. I mean, there are 4 major reasons imo, that 12/19 sounds like the likely release date:

1) Guns are playing in or near LA during during that period.
2) Axl said "fall...late fall".
3) A couple European websites are suggesting that "could be the day."
4) the fact that we are running out of Tuesdays.


well, these could all be smokescreen factors put out there so that we will all concentrate on that date. I mean this week is the point where we think we'll receive a statement from the band, or get a single ,or video or something. There doesn't seem to be a lot of people here or anywhere else who seem to think that the album will be in the store this Tuesday. So, maybe that's why Merck stated a couple months back "you might walk into the record store one Tuesday and find it there." Or something to the same effect suggesting as though it would be a suprise. If you just happened to be at the mall this Tuesday and walked in the record store I'm sure everyone here would be like "no, f'n way" if they saw it sitting there on display. Right ? Also, I honestly think Axl is taking great pride in the fact that he is keeping us guessing right down to the end !
It just seems a little odd that so many things are pointing in that direction at the moment. Hey, even if it does drop on 12/12.... Axl still kept true to his "fall...late fall promise." Maybe if it were gonna drop on 12/19 he would have said "fall,.... late,late fall":]

Cause statements have been repeatedly made this year in mainstream media that this is the year. Axl said it, repeatedly. He gave us a concrete time. If it wasn't coming, something would have been said by now, it just would have.
