Since Media-Markt and Saturn merged some time ago this is probably handled the same way.

BTW: That holding who owns those two has shops in almost every country in Europe except the UK.

so if they get them friday and uk get them monday, are the us pretty much the last to get them on a tuesday??? ?or do germany get them the friday after the tuesday? ?sorry if this is an obvious question but i am not sure.

Germany normally gets new releases on mondays . UK also i think. So we europeans might get the album one day before you americans.
Since CD is considered to be a "big" release i would bet we get a worldwide release . Probably a friday.

So if there is any truth to this Slovenia/Saturn stuff we might see the CD this friday

So after reading all this I had to call a friend of mine who works for Media-Markt(/Saturn) in Germany which is the biggest retailer of consumer electronics/CDs/DVDs in Europe. He told me that they received a shipment today which his boss sealed and nobody can open. But he also told me that this happens quite a few times in a year.

I also know the amazon.de site wasn?t there the last time i checked 2 or 3 weeks ago.

this could be interesting there a similar post in the last hour on mygnr for a different record store with the same sealed and not to be opened deal  ..........god im getting desperate

When was this allegedly opened box supposed to be opened? Do we know that yet? I find it hard to believe that things could have got this far without us knowing a release date...? But maybe the surprise thing is true afterall...?

I can not imagine that sealed boxes with "high confidential material" will be kept in the locker for 2 weeks before the boxes get opened.
That'll be to dangerous if you consider that someone might lose the match to his curiosity and sneaks in...

you assume a US release date of 19th, if release was 12th it would mean a release in Germany of this Friday

during the christmas season, cds are shipped early.. maybe 2-3 weeks ahead of time to the stores.. so this could be true..

No, not exactly.....to be honest considered there is any truth in this, which i doubt than we might see CD this friday worldwide
