I just called them up. The guy said he has a rumored date of the 19th but he's not holding his breath

that album is NEVER coming out. CLOSED. not this year, not next year...Axl has no faith in it. the songs are weak. look at the number of producers, they couldn't fix it either. he is better off to scrap it, and he knows it...

where is this coming from? the songs are not weak... and at this point if you don't like better, irs, the blues, madagascar, catcher, twat, or chinese democracy - then i don't know why anyone would be posting here.

if it's not coming this year, i don't really expect a statement.
after all is said and done i wonder if axl will EVER explain what all this silence and delay was about.

The songs are far from weak, infact some of them are masterpieces in my opinion. But Axl is such a perfectionist that he may see them as "weak" and want to make them even better, that is a very scary thought

I have yet to see the potential of better.

Mysteron has been around long before Ron was in the band, from what I can tell.

But wasn't Ron in talks with the band a few years before officially joining?  In other words, did he have enough of an association with them to start hanging out on the boards?

That's not necesarily true. This is the computer age and the internet age. I said it before and I'll say it again, the date WILL leak by a music store employee right before the official announcement. I'm not saying Dec 19th is it. Just repeating what I've said before.

Ron being hired by Gn'R was so secret that my own BROTHER didn't tell me. I found out when Ron stepped on stage in New York City in May, as I was reading a concert review from my hotel in London.

It was about a year before.

..... i noticed they had chinese democracy listed as dec. 19th.  I then inquired as to if that was a definate date, the girl told me it was as of 2 days ago....

What we really need to know is if this means their computer is updated every two days, or it WASN'T in the computer all these weeks and now it's suddenly there.

As usual, no one asked the right questions. Now we can't call. Even the other store in Conn is answering their phone pretending to be a furniture store.

EDIT- Summing up. If ANYONE has a similar experience, PLEASE find out if it wasn't in the computer in recent weeks and just recently appeared with a Dec 19th release date

There's two stores in Conn. The one I called was the one that wasn't posted online. As they answered with the furniture store b.s., I could hear giggling in the background. So I didn't bother with them.

Now, I have a mortage, three kids, a wife, a full-time job, community commitments. I don't have the time, money or want to follow Guns tour around and watch concerts that last until 2 a.m.

Sucks for you

All things considered ... I'd rather have the kids and mortgage than the concert memories.

As for Dec. 19 ... a boy can always dream.
