yep, in 2002 GnR also wanted to stay active for awhile, in 2001 GnR wanted to stay active. Not to forget in 2004 it was planned to play in Rio and a tour afterwards. Ah well, and 2005 was the year of GnR ....

We will not get CD this year I think. It's the same as in 2002.

 If its not coming out this year there won't be? a statement, because there never has been a statement on what is going on. Even after the cancelled tour in 2002 there was no statement.

That was the plan in '02 as well. That's the problem with this band, you never fuckin know. Why are people getting so paranoid on the boards when something slightly negative happens? Because they know this band is as stable as a nuclear weapon.

Yes, things can change very quickly and suddenly we will hear nothing. Or the tour continues and CD will be out...

anyways I am happy that they are back on tour, and this one has been huge and I am very positive that they will at least finish the tour until the end of the year:)

Is somewhat true this isn't over a copyright photo. This is over the cover, Axl told them what picture image to use they went a different direction. Axl is hot over this right now.

This is why this info wasn't supposed to be released yet. The problem is being worked on, but at this rate I don't think the album will be out this year. Only thing you might get out of the album this year is some promo commercials about it in December. This is going to help the Guns kick off there European tour next year. Maybe with some more dates added. An album with this kind of magnitude you have to do things right and that's what Axl is doing.

Just got off the phone with my label connection...

Seems there are some un-cleared copyright photo and image issues with the artwork on Chinese Democracy. The shipments are being held right now at the processing plant awaiting a hopeful legal "go ahead." The lawyers for all 3 parties are trying to work this out. If the images are not cleared they will need to redo millions of CD sleeves,etc.

Looks like the 28th has been delayed - technically not my fault...

The tour has gone better than expected, especially since the summer went well too - Wonder if the point of this US tour was to play these dates and places, get a feel for the sales and crowd in certain areas , and then go back either to the same places, or play larger venues in the vicinity, once the album comes out

Stop kidding yourself, it will do you no good. There was a plan, HD, MLB and RS strongly suggest that. That plan has now been delayed, and a new one is in the works. Nothing that's happening now was part of the plan.

personally i maintain that we'll see this incarnation of the band disintegrate next year if theres no 06 release and the tour goes tits up coz of that. and if there is no release this year, the tour will go down the shitter ?

This week (before Dec. ?1st) would be the perfect time to announce the album for a Dec. 19 release ?. The stress and preparation for/of Thanksgiving will be all but a memory...people will settle down once again (until the Christmas rush). With that said, if we do not get a statement before mid-December, we can look forward to 2007 ? .

Given the album still isn't listed on Universal's release lists, I think its a fair assumption that the album won't be out this year. Harsh, but reality bites.

However I'm still looking forward to late december!
