The CD release date rumor / speculation thread

Something like that.? The main page stops listing tour dates at the 11th of Dec.? If you click on more dates or whatever it list them all, but the main page has it stopping on the list on the 11th.

Thus the 12th for release.

Just a idea, in the million of ideas.

It really is best not to hope, assume or believe it's coming out on any date until there's confirmation. And there will be confirmation of a date and it will be at least five weeks in advance of the release, because time and time again Merck's 'surprise release' comment has been shown up to be the impossible nonsense it always was when he foolishly made it public.

I propose we make the eventual release come around much quicker by stop thinking about it every day, put it to the back of our minds and go off and enjoy Christmas.

FWIW,PFA, my local store here, MusicZone (www.musiczone.co.uk) on King William Street, London, after the normal response ("what, the GnR album that has been due out for four years?") has CD listed as coming out on Mon Dec 4th (I saw the sheet). Apparently that is from Universal themselves..

Still doubt it, but it does show that different vendors are getting different information from the same source, even in the same country.

They might drop it on a Thu/Fri. Universal has done it before with big name albums that they were afraid were going to have widespread leaks. Wouldn't surprise me if they did, because as soon as these discs are on trucks someone will walk off with one.

And that's all Fall/Late Fall...so Axl keeps his promise and everybody is happy  Guess the lack of patience is what keeps us busy after all that time of waiting and anticipating. Also don't think it is gonna be some big surprise and the album will be announced somehow, be in stores fairly quiet, waiting for musiclovers to buy it and then later on being acknowledged to be one of the best albums of all time! It's the same way the band is promoting the tours, so why would it be so much different for the album.
