It's strange, cause you have a ton of people with what appear to be valid rumours, a bunch of record stores claiming to be absolutely sure the disc is coming at that and that date, people talking about schedueled preparties, alleged marketing campaigns etc.
But yet, no real information. Nothing from a pressingplant, nothing from any distributor, label, retailers etc. Nothing from the people who could actually give us solid info.
And of course, the GN'R camp has once again lost the abillity to speak. Why does it always have to be so god damn hard? Nothing is ever easy or sure when you're a fan of this band. It's like going to a football match not knowing when the team will play, today? next month? next year? who are the players?
BAH!

Wasn't that what happened in 2002?? If the label denied it this time it must be earthshattering bad because i can not imagine Universal/Geffen ?to refuse an album that would let them make some money. And a GNR album would make money. No matter how bad it is. At least it would sell in the first few weeks.... Besides that: any official at the label would be just insane to deny the album if you consider they would want to "cut" the losses I was simply implying that the record companies are in the business for themselves. ?They couldn't care less what a minority of fans think, just so long as the music sells. ?They know that through time any GnR cd will make money, so I doubt any delay on Chinese Democracy would stem from song quality. ?Now if Chinese Democracy somehow tanked, then I could see the label holding up the process with the follow up cd, with little nuances such as quality. |

It's one thing to be upset if the album doesn't come out, but let's not set ourselves up for failure by counting on a rumor that has been reliably dismissed since its inception. |
