If anything, I think the single will hit radio on the 21st. I just can't imagine the album dropping like this but everything logical has been thrown out the door with Chinese Democracy. Grin

Chinese Democracy couldn't travel ten seconds without us knowing about it.

I swear, ten seconds after this beast leaves the plant it will be on Limewire.

so we have the 21st in USA, Germany, Mexico and now France...Wink

I'm from Switzerland. Asked in two CD stores, they have NOTHING about any new GNR CD.

There's an online store called www.cede.ch which has Chinese Democracy listed set to be released on 1st December 2006.

http://www.cede.ch/fr/music-cd/frames/frameset.cfm?aobj=577685

I emailed them to know if they have any more info. Still waiting for their answer.

I went to a big music store in Paris tonight and the guy who manages the Rock section told me that he heard from different sources that Chinese Democracy is going to come out next week. He heard that, wich doesn't mean it is going to come out of course. So take it with a grain of salt.
Then We talked about 5-10 minutes and he told me there is absolutely no promotin for the record yet. He told me it's weird because the album is highly anticipated and he is really surprised with the no promotion strategy. he told me it's unusual for big releases like that on stores.

Reminds me of the Welcome To The Jungle promotional radio 45-rpm which stated "DO NOT PROMOTE THIS RECORD" and said to just play it without mentioning the band. ?I found that strange, just like I find this being strange.

But hey, I got into this band in the first place when I bought the Live *)!@ A Suicide EP because I thought they looked cool.

So I went to Best Buy today to see if any of the rumors we ve been hearing on the board are true.  I asked this old guy next to the computer if he knows of any new GNR CD.  He said Chinese Democracy?, we've been waiting 10 years for it, then he asked if I was a the show last night, he said he was there, and starts talking to me for like 10 minutes about GNR, but he said they don't have any idea., the hottest rumor is the 21st but he said he has no idea.

I didn't bother reading the last 10 pages so... there's not truth to the Grass&Trees thing by "Far Downs"? Has it been proven a false rumour?

If not, I was thinking, Far Downs are HILLS in the Hobbitt (LOTR). Axl's house is on a hill, right? I know it's far fetched as usual, but...  drool

The anagram: The far downs, blue trees and green grass = the far east rebels ordered new guns

Was it green grass and blue trees? There's a town called BLUE grass though.? ok

"There?s no easy way to get to the town of Blue Grass. It sits at an altitude close to 3,000 feet in a fertile Virginia valley surrounded by mountain ridges. Narrow roads wind lazily through the mountains and down the valley. A tumbling stream ? the South Branch of the Potomac River ? parallels one route and deepens into trout-rich pools a mere seven miles from its source.

Entering the Blue Grass Valley from the north, one passes through a gap overshadowed by an imposing sandstone outcrop ? the Devil?s Backbone. And it is in the shadow of the Backbone, where routes 640 and 642 intersect, and the South Branch deepens between steep hills, that the village of Blue Grass was founded in the early 1800s.

Named after the valley?s lush bluegrass pastures, the town was originally called Crabbottom, a slight adjustment from an even earlier valley name ? Crabapple Bottom.
"

I wanna live in CraPbottom.? rofl
