i went ahead and made a jackass of myself yesterday at Best Buy, asking about the "Far Downs" and came up empty. they were nice though. lol
(i read everyone's valid points about them not having any info on it, but i had to give it a shot anyway)

this has to be the most shrouded album in all of history. the more time that goes by, the stronger and more elaborate the rumor mills become!!

it is frustrating, but quite entertaining!

Everyone is reading a lot into the Blue Tree and Green Grass etc. alias.  Now if they use a different alias for each store, someone has spent some time coming up with cleaver and cryptic aliases.

I know that some of you might not believe this because this is my first post (however I get on the site almost daily to read topics).? I have resided in Indianapolis for almost 10 years and I always go to a music store called VIBEs on the northside to get all of the new releases.? The man there is very reliable and always has correct information. THis is the best independent music store in INDY in my opinion. I have just returned from there and this time when I asked for a release date he surprised me and said that he has November 21st in his computer.? I do not know where he gets his information from but he has always been right in the past.? I am a huge GNR fan dating back to 1987 and remember standing in line for over 2 hours when the UYI's came out and had to borrow money at the time to get both.? They came then in the long box form which was awesome. Anyway, I thought I would post this because it got me very excited...

i find it hard to believe that they wouldnt ship it prior to XMa$$$.

and it appears based on various rumors that they are plotting out the tour well in 2007, likely going back to Europe.

they did a good gate at every show in Europe this year, but it seems to me it would be hard to do another leg of a tour there or anywehre and have it be succesful without something to give it momentum..the smaller crowds here in the US may be proof of this (which takes nothing away from the band's performance, just a point)

I just went to my local Virgin Records store in Times Square, NYC.  I asked when Chinese Democracy would be coming out, and he pointed me over to a wall full of the discs!  It's out today!  Go check it out for yourselves!!!
