Is the long anticipated Gun N Roses album Chinese Democracy in the process of leaking to the Internet? I have seen several references to a 13 track file appearing online today, but as yet I have no feedback or first hand knowledge if this is the finished product, more demos or a ruse!

for an unknown webstite to put up 12.31.06 is a very safe bet lol, sometime before the end of the year.  I would still like to believe CD will just pop up kind of like how GNR did this year, out of no where, no strong promotion, just release within 2 or 3 weeks of the announcement

I asked them about the release date and if they had some more infos...

They told me they just got the date 31.12.2006, no more info.
I guess "they" (who ?) just said that it'll be this year...

2)Release date revealed at Inland Invasion giving 4-7 weeks for promotion.

3)Tour starts

4)CD released on one of four dates: 24/10/2006, 31/10/2006, 07/11/2006, or 14/11/2006 (I'm going for 24/10/06)

I take the break between the warm-ups and the US tour as the timeframe when they will release the statement with the release date and the single. So, I don't think we'll know something before october.

I doubt it.  The diehard fans want to hear the new shit.. but a lot of people want to hear the old tunes that they remember.  some old timers get pissed when they have to listen to stuff they don't know....
