I can tell you all this... Chinese Democracy won't be coming out May 2nd. ok

I think Chilli Peppers, Tool, and Pearl Jam all come out that day!!!!

In my opinion they should drop it one week before that or 3 weeks after that.

Latest I'm hearing is expect the announcement by March 28 - however, its more likely to come in by the end of this week.? (Friday would be my guess).? No idea as to what info will be in it, though.? My best guess is confirmation of tour dates and album release date.? Possibly single info as well - but that's just speculation.

are you sure we won't hear about another lawsuit against Scott for defamtion of charachter and libel

What pisses me off is that Pearl Jam was HUGEEE in the mid 90's.. and slowly declined as times changed .... but even though there new stuff isnt anything to rave about.. their fans are getting new material and even if it isnt chart topping, its what the fans want.. consistancy.

To tell the truth, if GNR did that.. i dont think they would dissapoint me at all...

Spaghetti incident discluded.. none of there albums dissapointed me... there were 3 or 4 good songs on SI tho .. so...

from mygnrforum:

Ok, I asked Merck if there was any truth to the April 24 release date rumor that had been posted at MultiMedia Concerts site or the "April" release date posted at the Clear Channel site. I specifically asked if the date or month was correct. He said there was "no truth" to either one.

You don?t have to worry about this one.

The album WILL be released around the tour start.

I doubt that the promotors (EMA) or Roskilde in this part (Sweden, Denmark), would let guns n roses play without something to promote.
When the euro-tour was cancelled last time, it was of course a huge blow for these.

Conclusion:
Yes. The album will be released this year. Probably in May.They wouldn?t let gnr play this time otherwise...

you would think that's the case, but, with this band, the obvious doesn't always appear obvious

My guesses:

May 30th, June 6th, or June 20th.

They'd all make perfect sense given the tour

Classicguns, stop the presses! I agree with you on that. Whatever makes sense, the exact opposite will happen. May 23rd seems to be the best day to me. Right before Rio and a few weeks after the TOOL sales rush stops. Tool will sell big on May 2nd and then cool off quickly. beer

do you really think axl`s plan is to release the album when there are no other bands to compete with sales wise???  i personally believe he doesn`t give a fuck and geffen is happy that he releases it at all and won`t put any pressure on him regarding anything.....
