In February 2001, John Peterson, webmaster of gunsnroses.com previewed a page from the the gnr web-site for like a day (see: http://www.vhnd.net/articles/010212-02.shtml) The main picture was of a door (I think it was a door maybe a window) with zodiac symbols around it. I remember thinking what does this have to do with "China" or "Democracy"? Now, knowing that there was a song called "Zodiac", it probaby was featured on prominently on the "even-then-soon-to-be" released album.

If you read the most recent interview from Richard Fortus on Sp1at.com, he says Axl is still finishing up the vocals on CD. Not a good sign. Given that the band hasn't played together in like years and Axl is still finishing up the record, if it ever comes out, it will be a long time before we see them live.

I have lost a little bit of faith in a 2005 release, after what Fortus said about Axl still working on the album...

I say its more likely that C.D will been released around RIR5 next year...

How are you guys feeling about this??

No CD in 2005, although I was 90% sure that it would come out this year. No, it won't. I seriously doubt that it'll ever see the light since Axl seems to be really unsure and insecure about the album, or he's simly not interested in releasing it.

Please stop posting questions about the album or Axl's motives here. This thread is dedicated to rumord about release dates, not your own theories about why it's not out yet.

blues, people are gonna crap on you for saying that, especially since you didnt give any details to back up such a bold statement. As for myself, I'm gonna give it another year. When next year hits, if all we get is more rumors of Superbowls, VMA's, Rio, soundtracks, and of course, the yearly summer and holiday release rumors, I'm giving up. Another year of the band not associating with each other isn't going to bring on the release. Its 2005 or nothing. Probably nothing.

2na, I dont even remember the last time a rumor turned out to be true. Do you remember? Was it the VMA's? The best rumor of the year was that Axl had turned the album in to the record company. But since no official word came out about it, you can dump that one onto the mountain pile of bullshit.

Voodoochild, good one!! I had briefly forgot how the leak was just rumors until it finally surfaced on the net. Wanna know what I think is the worst rumor yet? Last year a rumor was around saying that Axl and Pink were going to do a duet of 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'. LMAO!!
