As I said before, I don't think this means anything. This is a monthly booklet. Let's wait for march's issue. I bet Chinese Democracy won't be listed there anymore....

From Splat's news section:

Geffen deny 25th April release date
"HMV recently announced on an instore flyer that the new Guns n'roses is set to be released in Europe on 25th April 2005.

Splat contacted Jim Merlis, a publicist at Geffen, and he exclusively told Splat that he was pretty sure that was not going to happen.

Splat also spoke to a representative at Amazon.co.uk who descibed the release dates listed on the flier as 'wildly inaccurate'.

Both HMV and Guns n'roses are yet to comment on this breaking story."

Maybe HMV flyer is connected with the BMG releasing list the French radio (a reliable one) talked of, rather than the Geffen publicist.

The flyer is wildly inaccurate as the person from Amazon said:

Coldplay's album is listed as March 28th when this week the drummer revealed that June was more likely for a release.

The Gorillaz album is currently set for a May 16th/23d release but is listed as April 25th.

The Nine Inch Nails album is an early May release but is listed as April 11th.

Weezer have no date set for an album, nor do the Foo Fighters or Limp Bizkit.

It seems to me that HMV do base there information on rumours.

I still think that a June/July release will happen, however the April 25th release date seems unrealistic and how many times have we seen music outlets list a release date.

We'll have to wait and see what HMV say when they release the March version of this release schedule.

Chinese Democracy WILL be released before the second half of 2005...

What happened to that big announcement you were promising in 14-18 days? That was about 25 days ago? Or the single that you promised on iTunes in November, or the news before Christmas? And didn't you promise that you'd stop posting too???

Jarmo, why's this guy still a member here? He should have been banned a long time ago!

HMV in the UK had the UYI albums on their release schedule for March 1991, and they didn't come out for another 6 months. Undecided

According to who?
Soemone who was in the same studio during the sessions and who actually hung out with the band.
Tom Lord-Alge

The guy I was talking to who hung out in and around ?the studio with the band told me that GNR did 3 straight years of recording with 3 different producers. He then said Tom Lord-Alge was the last of the producers to work with the band in that time period.
Does any1 know anything about him,bio etc.....

The guy I was talking also said he saw Bucket without the mask and said he was a very nice guy and doesnt know what went wrong between Bucket and the band. He said the chemistry between Bucket and the band musically was "phenomenal" though.

He also mentioned that in the early stages GNR would just jam to the old stuff becuase Axl wanted to make sure they can play the old stuff well for a future tour{the 2002 tour)...

thats what i posted a few months back

Nine Inch Nails is coming out the first week of May not April, so there's at least one error in that list...

The limited edition Japanese version (CD, DVD, Book) will be out in April.

He's not saying you mentioned a video. That one wasn't directed at you, but you have got it wrong at least 10 times already when talking about releases. Why don't you shut the fuck up or at least try and give a source for your rumours?

You better inform HMV Japan, cause they don't know anything about it!  rofl

The album is currently set for a May 2nd European release and May 3rd in the US. Japan May get it on May 1st but that's not finalised, there are no Nine Inch Nail album releases scheduled for April at this time.

Here's a collection of Sticky Fingers classics starting from the beginning...

September 06, 2004
*For you Europeans: G N' R will begin their 2005-2006 tour in late January/early February.

September 07, 2004
December! At the latest, the first week of January.

September 10, 2004
Interscope hopes that G N' R will have the first number one album of 2005, she believes that the album will be released the first week of January.

September 15, 2004
I just got word that the new G N' R single will not be released in stores, but on iTunes in November for only $0.99!!! I will have more info in the coming weeks!

September 24, 2004
I have now been told that the single will premiere during the last week of November/first week of December.

October 01, 2004
Also, she informed me that the new G N' R single will make its debut on iTunes a few days after Christmas.

October 22, 2004
I have been told that the official site will be "drastically revamped" by December. Hopefully, this means that the wheels will be turning soon.

October 29, 2004
I've been told that the album will be completed (mixing, mastering, etc.) by December 16th and the band will begin doing press in January. I believe all of your questions should be answered by then.

November 26, 2004
An Announcement Within... the next few weeks! Make sure you are registered for the official mailing list. If you registered a while back, you may want to re-register...

December 22, 2004
The band and Interscope have come to a decision. For a few months now, the band has had its eyes on mid-February and Interscope was pushing for January or April (why the two month gap!?). A decision has been made for a March release. I have been told an announcement would be made by the first week of January. However, I believe an announcement within the next two to four weeks is more plausible.

December 22, 2004
I realize that my posts cause many of you frustration, which is why I have decided that this post will be my last.

January 26, 2005
Expect BIG news within the next 14-18 days!

February 19th, 2005
Chinese Democracy WILL be released before the second half of 2005...

Sticky Fingers... Please go away!
