The CD release date rumor / speculation thread

shouldn't all of this be in the cd release date rumor thread?

I'm glad it's NOT in the CDRDR thread. (I really hate abbreviations... but you guys are growing on me )

This is different than the RS date or HMV date in several ways. So, many thanks to the mods for letting this thread live. I wouldn't be discussing it in the CDRDR thread because so many different discussions go on in there at once. Still, I would like to reitterate the differences between this bbc thing and other rumors, since some readers/posters only have the attention span of the main message in the thread and the most recent thread page...

1: The BBC is the bbc. They don't report anything based on so-in-so seeing an empty cd case in an HMV record store with a 12/19 date on it, or discussions on the internet.

2: The bbc site always lists the releases for the following week as "coming soon," and since the Nas album DOES has an official release date of 12/19, this looks promising.

3: Based on Numer 1 above, where did they get this "extracted" 12/19 from?

4: The BBC is British, and I think there's something weird about Guns n' Roses and Great Britain. (just my oppinion on this last one? )

From the distribution company in Europe? What's their name, anyone knows?

It doesn't say anyting about 12/19.  Just says coming soon.  Too much is being read into this.  Its the 9th now....that's 12 days from 12/19 an No single yet.  Harely commercial gone.  Something is up.

we may know more on Monday.. when they update the list and add the 18th week... we might find CD listed under that week or not.. but either way we'll have more answers then

HOW LONG has GN'R been listed on this site?  Were they just put up, or has it been there for a while.  If it was just put up then it could mean something...I'm still holding for that Dec. 19 release date.

What if Universal and GNR have decided to release the album in July 2007?
Although we were told it would be released THIS year, 2006, there's nothing to suggest that's still going to happen. This album would have leaked by now.

That is why I believe they will announce the album a few days before it is released.

 

This point and the fact that the old adage of "no news is good news" is often true are the two reasons I think C.D. will still be released this year...hopefully.

HOW LONG has GN'R been listed on this site?  Were they just put up, or has it been there for a while.  If it was just put up then it could mean something...I'm still holding for that Dec. 19 release date.

Im dissapointed with no C.D this year. I really thought this would be the year, and though its not over yet I doubt C.D will come out this year

What do you think the reason are?
We'll just keep waitin', and hope C.D will come out next year! 
 

I can't say I'm too disappointed that CD is not out this year, as I always knew that was a possibility.

I'm disappointed that this band's management is still letting people get their hopes up about a 2006 release. The "hopeful then disappointed" cycle is not healthy.

I was being facetious. ?It can have multiple meanings.

Really though, its only fair to be mad at the band if 2006 comes and goes without an album. ?Not because they promised, but because they did not rescind the promises and kept the fans hanging. ?That would not be cool, but it hasn't happened yet. ?We shouldn't diss GNR for their lies until they are proven to be lies - if they are proven to be lies. ?We won't know that until Jan 01 / 07.

Until GNR says otherwise, the album is set for a 2006 release. ?Soon peolpe. ?Soon....
