these posts aren't pointless. people are angry that there is no release date yet and no word from the band about one since they said it was coming out this year, and people have a right to be angry. if this tour was to promote the album then it is failing miserably because the majority of the genral public doesn't know anything about the cd or they don't believe it's ever coming out. the tour has done nothing to help that perception. they play 3-4 "new" songs that are never introduced by axl as being from the new album, most people don't know if they are gnr songs or cover songs and they don't care, they are there to hear november rain and AFD album. on top of that they go on so late every night that the general public and the media get pissed at them and walk out and trash them the next day, so how is the tour promoting "chinese democracy"? where is the release date? I'm sick of hearing people saying they are "staying active" so we should be happy. I went to 3 shows on this tour and I was glad to see them but they are hurting their rep. with the general public with this tour, they should release the album first and then "stay active".

Maybe you should read the press reviews of the last 5 shows, the majority of them are very negative, mostly because of the late start time and the suicide girls. I'm fine with both the late start time and the suicide girls, but they both make for bad press.

Ever since the Illusion tour the press has been on them about the lateness. Thats the only thing they can complain about because what really matters is the show and how the band is, and they cant say shit. Because Axl and the boys tear it up every night.

The only thing I commented on is what you said about bad reviews (lateness and suicide related). Maybe you should read more carefully... I don't know. I don't even to bother to comment on your Chinese Democracy Tour observation (how many CD songs are played every night?)

That's obvious, no action by anyone other than axl will get us the album an sooner, but I care enough about the band to worry that no one outside the small group of people on this forum will give a shit when it does come out, regardless of any promotion that they can come up with, and the tour hasn't done anything to help that. I like to be able to talk to people about my favorite band with pride instead of getting shit thrown back in my face by people when I talk about cd and the new gnr to people outside the forums. ?
