AND HMV MAKES UP RELEASE DATES.
HMV is full of shit, they dont know anything.
so far they had every possible week of the year as a release date.
stop mentioning them! They dont and never did know anything.

what happend to the 12/19 rumour a couple days ago? hmv had it or something?

Someone claimed that they worked at HMV and Universal had listed CD on their split sheets.  I spoke to my local HMV's buyer and he said it wasn't the case.

So nothing conclusive either way I don't think.  Just because the buyer I spoke to didn't know about it doesn't mean that it didn't happen, it COULD be that he made a mistake, it was a different split sheet set or whatever.   Either way I wouldn't be getting my hopes up.

Everyone should know by now that nothing anybody says ends up being true. Unless it gets said by Guns N' Roses you should know not to believe it. I learned that a long time ago. The only things I believe come from press releases, interviews, or website updates from people actually involved with Guns N' Roses.

If everyone just didnt believe every little thing, then you wouldnt set yourselves up to be disappointed. It's ridiculous with all these people saying I talked to my local record store and they said this and that, who gives a fuck, they dont know shit.

*sigh* This was supposed to be about someone that worked at HMV and saw the split sheets.   Not a date from HMV's website.

I KNOW they're not a reputable source, at all, but there IS a difference.

Also ppl have claimed to have got emails from GNR site. However, hopefully Im not alone here, I have signed up to this too and got no email here. Surely it can't be selected. Beginning to feel just because I've just got home drunk I'm seeing things.
Really hope there's something in this, I'm sure there is from someone in the know.

that's the point, we are all diehard gnr fans and want the same thing, but given the track record of management and the band, we are inclined to think the worst. If we were given some reasurrance from management this explosion of rumors wouldn't happen, it's all driven by paranoia caused from the track record of the band and management, and it's because we are diehards and we care, so please don't talk to us like we are  a bunch of idiots.

Just got off the phone with my label connection...

Seems there are some un-cleared copyright photo and image issues with the artwork on Chinese Democracy. The shipments are being held right now at the processing plant awaiting a hopeful legal "go ahead." The lawyers for all 3 parties are trying to work this out. If the images are not cleared they will need to redo millions of CD sleeves,etc.

Looks like the 28th has been delayed - technically not my fault...

make "HMV" a swear word, since that place has been the source of most of the fake release dates, and some people just keep on posting "insider" info from that company.
and about the "copyright isssue", I guess we would get some sort of word from merck, on monday... 'cus after all he has been talking, but not about the actual release.

I agree with you and I don't.  They haven't backed down per say.  But now if you ask Merck if CD is going to be released this year he doesn't respond.  So technically they are backing down.
