I'm telling you, the best thing they could do is not say a damn thing until the day it is released. On said day:

- Album is released.

- Press Release.

- Show in LA or NYC.

It would work.

I guess we can believe anything when it comes to Chinese Democracy.  Even Davo's post of Axl wanting to keep the album to himself.  Who knows at this point?  All the members are scattered about doing there own thing.  Axl is....well WHO KNOWS?!  The record company keeps releasing Greatest Hits/Live Era's instead of what we really want.  Maybe just maybe we'll see this album in early 2005 as expected.

What's "Xmas"? A celebration of the birth of the letter X?

X is used to stand for Christ. I think it has something to do with the cross and Christian martyrship.

He wanted to do it with November Rain, remember.

As far as I know, Axl only wanted to keep the video to November Rain to himself, because he was being fucked over by Stephanie Seymour at the time, and he didn't want to put out a video with her appearing in it. I've never heard he wanted to keep the actual song to himself.

As I remember he didn't want to release it on the UYIs because he felt it told too much about him, it was too emotional. But I'm not 100% sure about it, I read the story at least 12 years ago.

I don't think that's 100% correct.

At the time the video was shot, Axl and Steph were still together. At the time the video was aired, Steph and Axl were still together. Maybe somebody could post the accurate dates, but as fas as I remember, I first saw the vid during the spring of 92.

I'm assuming now they must've broken up in late spring - early summer of 92.

The Making of of November Rain ( I haven't seen that in a while) should clarify things up anyway.
