Some amazing accomplishments by one Andre the Giant.

http://www.moderndrunkardmagazine.com/issues/10_06/10_06_andre_giant.html

The article is quite long so I'm not gonna cut and paste, the link should work.  Just imagine drinking 25 beers and still being outdrank by 3 times that amount.  It's good to see the guy did have a limit though, passing out after 119 beers.

Great article.  Loved this story:

A very green rookie wrestler named Hulk Hogan toured Japan several times with Andre and witnessed the Giant?s alcohol consumption first hand. According to Hogan, Andre drank, at a minimum, a case of tall boys during each bus ride. When he finished a can Andre would belch, crush the can in his dinner-platter-sized hand, and bounce the empty off the back of Hogan?s head. Hogan learned to count each thunk, so he could anticipate when Andre was running low. Whenever the bus stopped, it was Hogan?s job to scamper off to the nearest store, buy as many cases of beer as he could carry, and make it back before the bus departed, a sight that never failed to make Andre roar his bassoon-like laugh.

What a grest Story.... A true legend, I am not a big fan of the wrestling circus, but did watch his biography on TV, came across as a really nice guy... 119 beers in 6 hours, that takes some doing.... And the month Bar tab.. $40,000.... Fuckin superb.

anyone that believes either is quite mad, guillible, desperate or perhaps a human/rabbit hybrid

Some people let a good story over ride litle details like facts, people like George Bush must be amazing story tellers - point being, take what u read with a pinch of salt people

Andre grew to a height of somewhere between 6?11? and 7?5?

The kind of accurate journalism the article specialises in - thats quite a significant difference - we're not talking a few cms there......did people just become stupid standing next to him 'wow ur huge like 80ft!' - even a vaguely competant human can work out someone's height fairly accurately simply by using known reference points - (i.e standard door fram is 6'6)

 Shocked

From what I remember, according to the documentary, Andre himself never saw his daughter...

Not for me, I expect "Modern Drunkard Magazine" to hold to the highest standards of accuracy in journalism.

I hope the Guiness Book observers allowed a Andre a trip or two to the men's room.

Long live Andre!

Except for that fact Andre has witnesses for his feat.......Tim White is one of them, however, he killed himself multiple times.
