It's incorrect though - it doesn't say anything about 59 million. Not including warmup shows they played about 32 North American concerts so that's about 16 million which is good going because that doesn't include the european tour. Bear in mind 16m is obviously a gross figure and doesn't take into account the cost of running the shows. ok

Chinese Democracy Is Coming Some Day!!!

« Reply #13 on: January 09, 2007, 06:37:10 PM »

Very good to know the tour made it to the top 10. I say that is a success. Just think what this band could do when the spot light is on them. 2007 should be a very successful year!

But even so... They played over 70 shows this year, no? Dunno the European prices... But I think they all can afford their rent by now.

4/14/2012. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

« Reply #17 on: January 09, 2007, 07:20:33 PM »

What's remarkable, and somewhat disappointing, is that GN'R's tour finished 10th despite the cancellations and very few shows selling out. Could have been top 5 otherwise.

That's fantastic news...imagine what the tours will be like once CD is released.

And is it me, or is that a period in the thread title instead of a comma?? I originally looked into the thread because I thought it was $500 gross per show...? ? ?Shocked

That's an average of around 8400 people at each show..

And with no new album or single out during the tour and little promotion, I think that is still pretty damn good. Imagine what they can do once the album comes out and the major promotion kicks in!
