anyone know if any of the songs on this album were ever in contention as material for a GNR album?
i don't think so but wanted to see if anyone heard anything about that...

I believe Axl passed on all of Gilby's material.
Kinda like Slash's that he used for the first Snakepit album.

Gilby did offer them for GNR songs, they were rejected-Monkey Chow I believe is given total credit on the Snakepit album, probably would have shown up on Pawnshop if Slash had rejected it-Gilby's relationship with the band was basically over after his material was rejected I think-Gilby even made a remark that he really didn't want Axl to sing the whole Dead Flowers song-he just wanted Axl to sing the chorus, Axl insisted on singing the whole thing-I like Gilby, bought all his albums, but sometimes he complained about things a bit too much-his solo CD is the only one of any of the members Axl appeared on

so that is the reason why axl is so low on it too? cool!
