nope. The SFA tried to introduce it but fifa said we couldnt as it would mean a referee would have to admit to making a mistake which they never ever do. ever.
anyway, my main point was that gerrard is a diving cheat. worse he is a diving cheat he speaks out against the foreign curse of divers in the english game. and yet the media wont get ripped into him for cheating as his name is not didier drogba, etc...
still, it was a cracking freekick

^ Understood. On the yellow card thing, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Pierluigi Collina do that once or twice, issue a yellow card after he had made a mistake....?

not to my knowledge. And whilst collina is a law unto himself (i wouldnt argue with him) issuing retrospective yellow cards is not allowed as far as i know.

Excellent! 1-3 to Everton. Though very unlucky on the 1-2 and 1-3 goals but still!
With Tainio and Lennon injured it seems to be very hard to get anything done in the midfield. I would like to see more of Routledge. Seemed pretty good yesterday. And give that new Kevin-Prince a chance too. I don't think we're going to get anything done by using three forwards if we don't have a midfield to supply them with proper balls to work with. Of course in the D having Lee, Bale, King, Dawson and now Kaboul (I don't know if his injury from last night is serious, hope not) injured doesn't help one bit. Having propably the best group of forwards in premier league is great, but it's worth shit if they're not getting balls.
Just have to hope for better against Derby... Last year it was 1 win out of the first 6. Hope the top 4 spot isn't pissed away this early in the season.

Damn, I missed good ol' Sven Goran !!! When a team wins a game without having one single proper attack, you know the horny swede is behind it all !!!
Oh, and disgusting refereeing decision against Liverpool today...

Pretty much it seems so...
I feel really bad for Jol. What the fuck is the board thinking!?! Why take away the man's confidence, turn all the positive press against Tottenham now, and do nothing but harm with such an idiotic move? It would've been chaos on sunday had they actually sacked Jol, and I'm pretty sure it affected them in some way even now. The game won't be easy since ManU will be mad as hell with only 2 points from the first 3 games. This just adds to the difficulty of the game.

its not often i agree with man utd (although its even less often that i feel sympathy for spurs fans) but heinze should be made to languish in the gulags, nevermind the reserves. what an arsehole. fair enough he can demand a move, but to demand a move a specific club (nevermind bitter rivals) is disgusting.
its been a worryingly increasing trend that players threaten to go on strike if they dont get the move they want. really sad.

anyone see alan hansen last night? fuck me, he looks like he's been hanging out pete docherty. And what was his explanation for a burst lip and a black eye?
He lit a candle, leaned over it....as you do....and it exploded....as it does. Simple answer, he took a kicking off of somebody. V.V.V.V. FUNNY.

I only saw the end of the game and that brief after match talk but I thought the same, did he really give that candle story as an excuse? Not sure why it prevented him shaving though

Aye, I'm sure he'd go down a treat at Old Trafford.
He gets on great with referees.

Judging from the weekends game, I'm not worried at all and I still believe there's a genuine chance for a top 4 spot despite loosing some points early on in the series.
There was a _lot_ of opportunities, and at some point they'll start going in.
No question that had the incident been in the other end, it would've been a penalty, but such is life. Bale had a great performance for his first game and Berbatov looked like a new man in comparison to what he was in the first game. Even Gardner and Rocha played pretty well.

had it been at the other end it probably would have been given, but the simple fact is that it was not a penalty.
