how odd - neither Liverpool nor Arsenal seemed to want third place!
Cant remember another season where third place wasnt worth fighting for - maybe Liverpool were too concerned with a certain final and Arsenal just wanted the season to end
all in all i cant remember a season when i've watched fewer games....or cared less
The top 4 and bottom three were about as obvious as football gets - and while Man Utd winning the title was a slight surprise it had been on the cards for 6 months.....

What an awful game ! United's season ended after the Everton game, they were dead tired in every game after that, and Chelsea was .....well, Chelsea !

My guess was that Chelsea would score 1-2 goals and depending on Utd's offence they'd get 0-3 goals... Turned out 1-0... Of course didn't have to be a psychic to say that, but for some reason ManU was just really, really bad... Not that Chelsea would've been excellent either tonight.

I was watching the game and the commentators were saying how awful it was......
...and yet when England play they heap praise on them!
Personally i thought the game was no worse than 99% of the Premierships matches on in a week, not sure why the commentators took such exception with events - have they never seen a Fulhan v Charlton game?

my mate was offered ?2000 for his ticket an hour before kick off, looking at it now he probably should have taken the money!!! wembley is a fantastic stadium, absolutley massive, not much to look at from the outside but unbelievable once you get in

That's not really an excuse though, Charlton are no longer a premiership team and until this season were content with being a stable mid table premiership side. That FA cup final was supposedly the best the premiership had to offer, 1st vs 2nd, best attack vs best defence etc and it was bollocks. Just think that match could so easily have been the Champions League final as well

by your logic (the best vs the best = most entertaining) relegation dog fights should be awful matches and, from what i can recall, they are generally amongst the most entertaining.
anyone with half a brain (and this point is proven as even mark lawrenson said it) could tell the fa cup final was gonna be shit as soon as they saw both teams were playing 4-5-1.
In other news arsenal, villa, man utd, spurs, newcastle and funk knows who else are supposdly interested in Craig Gordon. Offers starting at ?8million......goody goody gumdrops

It's not that I hate Liverpool... I just don't like them. At all.
Hope to see a good game though.

oh well - probably fair considering we stole the trophy off them before
When they have Kaka and we have Zenden, ya know its always gonna end badly
Pennant and Zenden just arent good enough at this level - and Kuyt just never looks like he's a threat

In my opinion Pennant was really good. He really worked hard and created chances.
Just glad that Milan won.
