it means that you're guessing something that you dont really know.
age is just a number, maturity is a state. the two are not always related.

yeah whatever if you say so, i aint guessing, you could be either a arrogant smartass who think you are superior, or you could just be kind and tell me what i asked.. i guess you are arrogant just like you think zlatan is.. english is your native language.. if you want we can take this discussion in swedish.. and we'll see how good you are in a language that isn't your native language..

man are you stupid?.. or you just don't wanna see the points i make?.. we have prolly misunderstanded each other from the beggining,. that's why i brought up the english language.. okey you're not english.. you're scottish right? still british.. after this post can this thread be about soccer as intended 'cause i hate when threads are OT wich this one is right now.. and don't blame it all on me for that if you were going to. 'cause it's your fault just as much as it is mine..
back to football.. what's your fave team?

I have to agree that most strikers are in fact lazy - even many of the good ones. ?In fact, overrunning usually leaves you out of goal-scoring position, something that happens often with van Nistelrooy (ignoring yesterday's hat trick). ?Guys like Raul and Ronaldo are generally always around the goal area and their teams are better for it. ?Leave the work rates to the midfielders.

you're not only dumb.. you are immature too, i try to move on 'cause i don't think this conversation is going anywhere but you still wanna talk about it.. well start a new thread about whatever you wanna talk about.. you are prolly the only one in here that doesn't wanna talk about soccer in the soccer thread..
i think fc barcelona is the best club in the world.. they have it all.. even lazy talented forwards

defence starts with the attack. any team that doesnt have attackers tracking back in to position will be found out very quickly.
obviously when in posession you want your forwards around the goalmouth, but they also need to come short. the reason the rooney's, ronaldinho's of the world are seen as great is back they drop short to create space, drag markers out of position and take the weight off the midfield.
as a centre half i know the worst thing a striker can do to you is drop short as it buggers any sort of defence you try to play as it forces you to either track the run and create a gap or leave the man and have him pop up elsewhere unmarked.
i never said that many strikers arent lazy, but they are better when they're not.

Well Zlatan may be lazy and a bit arsey at times but he is one hell of a player.
Look at Kanu, hes lazy as FUCK but I mean hes got 3 goals in 3 games this season already under Harry Redknapp. I think as long as they have someone to support em n feed them the balls through and do then majority of the legwork for them, they are effective.
I mean, look at Robbie Fowler. He was never renowned for his lightning pace, yet he was a fantastic goalscorer and the scousers called him God for christ's sake!

funny, i can't remember when i questioned your knowledge on soccer or said that i knew more than you or anything like that, but i must have done that right? or you just wanted to brag.. please quote me when i said something like that and i'll say i'm sorry oh might great soccer coach that knows best..
so just because you are a coach or something i can't have a favourite team that i support?..

Maybe we're confusing laziness with positional awareness. ?Also, the examples you provided, Rooney and Ronaldhino, always play in tandem with a poacher - guys you don't even realize are on the pitch.. until they score. ?Ronaldo, Inzhagi, Raul were already mentioned... Van Basten was a great one as well; so was Davor Suker. ?I just think that those type of one-dimensional finishers are a critical component to any great team.

i take your point, but there's a difference between lazy and intelligent. zlatan falls on the side of lazy.

because he's talented, not good.
and ofcourse i have the right judge wether or not a player deserves his position. and please dont make assumptions on wether or not i think players are lazy. i mentioned zlatan - therefore you know my opinion on him, nobody else. so why bother commenting?
sorry i opened my mouth in this narrowminded only-for-english-soccer-and-english-players-and-as-soon-as-you-open-your-mouth-about-other-countries-people-will-tell-you-that-you-are-wrong-and-england-is-the-best-nation-in-the-world-in-soccer-thread
I'm not trying to get involved here or anything, but being Irish I have made plenty of comments against the state of English football in this thread and haven't got that hard a time over it, as a matter of fact quite a few people have agreed with me. Granted I'm a Premiership spectator and a Manchester United fan, I also support other teams in other countries, Barcelona in Spain, AC Milan in Italy etc. I can see where you're coming from, but this thread is not exclusively for English football fans.

i'm not saying they're not a necessity, i'm saying zlatan is lazy. he shirks challenges, doesnt track back, doesnt close down, wont chase lost causes, etc. great players do that even if its not their strength to do so as its for the good of the team.
zlatan is his own little team.

i don't care how much you know about football or how good of a coach you are.. you are naive and don't know so much about zlatan as you think, you abviously have something against him.. i think i've seen a few more games with zlatan then you. no offense man but that's the way it probably is..

you called me dumb and stupid and that is commenting on my knowledge, therefore my knowledge of football.
you do realise you're arguing semantics in the same thread where you've admitted that you're english isnt as good as mine. it's your funeral.
and obviously i have something against zlatan - he's lazy.
