not strictly true, sometimes you didnt even make it.

Yep, which shows how poor we really are and not the world power the press would have us believe every time we manage to qualify. ok

Not sure how many better defenders in the world there are than John Terry and Rio Ferdinand and Steven Gerrard has to be in the top 3 Midfielders and Rooney is probally the finest young player in the world

No our players failed but that doesn't make them any less fantastic footballers does it?

Coz Ronaldinho had an aweful world cup. . . so i guess he's aweful to.

England have the ability to win any International competition on the planet. But so do about 5 other teams so we have to raise our games.

And lets not forget we have lost on penalties twice and a goal which was a cross. And thats with us playing badly

Jonathan Woodgate returns to the premiership having managed 14 games for Real Madrid - thats something like 1.1 million of the transfer fee per game - what a deal!!!! hihi rofl

and dont forget he was also sent off in that game too

....i suppose it was all sven's fault that england underachieved yet again. yet again.

i actually do believe that, sven had the best set of england players for a long time and screwed it up

the players they had before the last few years wer never going to win anything, but this year the players were good enought but bad management fucked them up

Tevez and Mascherano sign for West Ham

Oh my....what the hell happened to them? Weren't they once highly rated with the worlds best teams in pursuit?

How can they afford them? Why did no other team chase them? Why did Corinthians let players they bought for an absolute fortune only a year ago, leave?

One does wonder if a certain Russian paid for them to move to London to get them premiership experience/keep a close eye on them....

Emerson Leao had much trouble with Tevez and Mascherano, specially tevez yesterday I saw an interview he said he was treatly completely unfair. I guess is all about ego and stuff Tevez since day one didnt seem to get along with their team mates and also got into a fight. As for mascherano i really dont why he was out of there.
So they go to the Hammers! Up the Irons  Grin

I give them 1 season in West Ham and move to Stamford Bridge...

One does wonder if a certain Russian paid for them to move to London to get them premiership experience/keep a close eye on them....

Abramovich has a substantial financial interest in Corinthians and the agency that looks after Mascherano and Tevez.

Spend a year at Upton Park, see if they can cut it in the Premiership (which they should, they are both tough, physical players) and then see them waltz down the Kings Road to Stamford Bridge.

Oh, and of course, it means they couldn't join Man Utd or Arsenal. Roll Eyes

I found this on an Arsenal forum:-

By Alan Haylands-

"And I?m not talking about the year?s supply of jellied eels they?ve got in front of them either. The deal to take Argentina stars Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to West Ham United hasn?t officially been confirmed yet but football discussion forums are white hot with the news and the potential implications, not only for West Ham but for the premiership at large.

What would attract two of the world?s most sought after, young, talented international stars to Upton Park and the waiting arms of Alan Pardew? At first glance there is no logical explanation. West Ham had a great season last year after their promotion and surprised a lot of people (me included) with their classy football and solid defence that not only gave them a respectable league finish but also took them to the FA Cup Final.

I doubt that their Cup Final defeat in one of the liveliest and most enjoyable Cup Finals in many years will have been enough to tempt the two Argies though and despite having a foot in European competition with the UEFA Cup, I doubt that?s the real pulling factor either.

My suspicions lead me to a somewhat shadier deal being cooked up between the players? club Corinthians, their owners MSI and another club with shady links to MSI and their owners. It?s long been rumoured that Roman Abramovich is the money man behind MSI and the reason that a broke Brazilian club like Corinthians could afford players like Tevez and Mascherano in the first place. It leaves no doubt in my mind that Chelsea and Roman are behind this proposed season long loan deal for the two Argentinians to West Ham and it?s only for one purpose - to acclimatise the players to London and the Premiership and see whether they are worth signing for Chelsea properly next summer.

There can be no other reason for this transfer to take place. Yes, West Ham are a good, homely club with some good players but for a club to sign Carlton Cole this summer and turn around and also get Carlos Tevez, it leaves me wondering what the motives are. I think I?ve worked out the obvious answer and it doesn?t bode well for the rest of the Premiership.

We?ve seen Chelsea?s strange buys and loan deals in the past with players like Smertin and Jarosik but this moves things to another level completely. Chelsea don?t outright own these players or their club but their guiding hand can skew the transfer market that they can prevent any of their near rivals in the top five from having these players while they park them at a safe and respectable club, close but not too close, for a season to let them mature in the English game.

Something stinks around here and the smell is increasingly eminating from Roman Abramovich?s direction."

This whole West Ham deal is actually really scary - Abramovich is pulling the strings here, and if its not flat out illegal then it should be

West Ham have become a feeder club!

What was part of the deal - do West Ham roll over when they play Chelsea - is this a means of guarenteeing 6 points each season?

I'd know Abramovich was behind Tevez's move to Corinthians - and now this.....its like some kind of gangster tale

Clearly having an influence over another team in a massive conflict of interests - i dare say Abramovich owns FIFA to so we wont see an investigation

And people allowed themselves to get distracted by the nonsense in Italy when the real corruption has always been here...

Well, there was corruption in Italy, it's just that it was small potatoes compared to a bunch of Russian oligarchs moving money around the world and dictating the global transfer market.

Well Ashley Cole please fucking sign for Chelsea already.

Its been 45 minutes since the transfer window closed and STILL no confirmation!  rant

This has been dragging on for way too long (You would think I'm an arsenal/chelsea fan by the way I am ranting) but it's taken wayyy too long!

Apparently - Arsenal have finally sold Reyes and got Baptista (just like i said they should do 2 pages ago Wink).  I am chuffed if this is the case, a) because i was right for a change and b) cause it means we have Baptiste.  We have a beast at last!  Rock on Arsenal! ok
