I think in Sisokoo they have the biggest unsung hero last year and i think he has to be one of the best midfielders in the league.

Wow, I think Sissoko is pretty poor to be honest.? His passing is okay but he can't head the ball for shit and he can't shoot either.? I'd call him average at best. Undecided

You watch how many tackles he makes and he is always in the thick if it.

And when you have Alonso next to you, you dont have to be an amazing passer. Sissoko played so well last year that Liverpool are playing Gerrard wide . . i think that says it all

As much as i hate to say it coz i hate liverpool.

Why? They have the only manager in the league who actually acts like a gentleman and a squad that generally behave themselves. We dont have any Rooney-esque thungs, or money driven bastards (Cole) or over-rated rubbish (Keane)

I find it harder and harder to watch football each week with all the cheating and diving in the league as a whole - Liverpool however, are a fairly honest bunch and none of our players go about trying to kill other players, or are so technically indept a tackle might as well be an assault

What's to dislike about them? They play technically superb football and deliver a masterclass in tactics every week

The team dont gloat or claim to be something else, they dont ruin the league with zillions of 30 million flops and actually have a core of ENGLISH players

We dont bribe the refs and have fans that are great ambassadors for the sport

I'm very proud of my club.

You're right, masterclass in tactics bias asside (though it isn't as if you're off the mark, either. You're certainly up there), but I would like to think that Spurs qualify for everything that you just said as well, bias asside.

All right, maybe not the superb football, but without doubt the more entertaining football in the league.

Also, surely it's easy to sympathize with a club that's been lost in the mire for so long...........

I love Martin Jol so much.  Cry

Hey mate. Bellamy is a little prick . . who throws his weight around like a little thug.

Hyppia isn't against making a bad tackle or two. I remember one on Vassell once which bordered on assult when he was playing for villa.

and if you can honestly sit there and tell me that Kewell isn't a diver then thats you opinion.

Every team has divers bar none. Some more than others. And i agree on the whole liverpool are one of the best. But under no circumstances are they all angels

Amen.

Forgot about Garcia. What a diver!

Not so sure about sissoko.

And their fan . . well some of them are pure scum. I remember them singing their disgraceful munich song during an FA cup match when they were winning and we scored 2 in the last 5 minutes . . that was great.

Gerrard dives too.? Apparently he dived earlier today but we'll see on the replay later.

I do like Liverpool though - most of what Izzy said was true. peace

YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!

I was getting so worried there.  It sounds like we've dominated the whole game, it's such a relief to get the equaliser.  And Walcott actually played! Shocked

I was there.

Walcott was up there with Eboue for man of the match.

We absolutely smashed Villa, but they played a 5-5-0 formation. We made 20 odd passes where 2 passes and a shot would have been better.

We'll improve. 37 games to go.

And we have more points than Spurs. rofl

I can't believe we (Villa) got out of that!! We should have lost a good 4-0!

I can't believe how much Arsenal would play around with it inside the box. They had several good shooting opportunities which they didn't take. Some of their passing was brilliant but sometimes they just went too far.

^ You're right about Arsenal's passing movements being a bit too much, but credit has to go to Martin O'Neill for the excellent work he has done in two weeks to organise the team. If O'Leary was still in charge, Villa may well have lost by the same scoreline as last season.

Anyone got predictions for this season?

Chelsea will win it but Man U will be close behind.  Arsenal will be third (although I don't rule out them winning it like Mr "cant win anything with kids" Hanson).  Liverpool will be forth.

As for relegation I reakon Watford don't have much chance.  Also Fulham will be shakey and may well drop.  I see both Reading and Sheffield Utd surviving, but barely.  I dunno who the 3rd team to fall will be...maybe Tottenham.

Yeah I know, that was just in a dream I had.? I'm very superstitious. yes

I reakon Portsmouth will do well this season.? They have a good manager, good keeper, a quality new striker and the best centre back in world football on side.? Surely nothing will stop them!

I hear Newcastle are trying to sign Martins.? If so, they could become a force again, although the best they can hope for this season is a euro scrap with Bolton and Spurs.? I don't see Blackburn repeating what they did last year - it'll be mid table for them without Bellamy.

What about Middlesbrough for relegation?? I like Southgate as a manager but he's inexperienced and there's always the chance they'll crumble without him at the back.? Other than Downing, do they actually have any good players anymore? Undecided
