Well this put a big smile on my face ! The only guy that makes Crough look world class?
Hold on a minute.....Heskey is shit, yeah, but saying he makes Crouch look good...that's just harsh on the guy. Heskey is an average footballer. Crouch is a below average uncoordinated leper. No-one makes Crouch look good. A dead fly that's been cremated would be more useful than peter crouch.
On a side note, apparently McClaren is wants Venables to join his staff. I personally think this will be good, as I always thought Venables did quite well, and was a decent manager (certainly better than McClaren). What's all your thoughts?

I'm too lazy to check for facts, but I think Crouch has scored about as many goals for England in his few matches played as Heskey scored in 40+ matches.
To pay 5.5 million pounds for him is absurd

Actually, though I am certainly no fan and would sooner see Peter Crouch join Tottenham before Emile Heskey got anywhere near an England squad, Hesk-man had a pretty decent season with Birmingham.

Heskey is an ok striker who defenders probably don't like playing against, but he struggles to get 10 goals a season. Not worth ?5.5m in my book.

And to pay 7m for Crouch isn't? I'd rather have my arms cut off than either of those two EVER play for England again, but Heskey is better than Crouch.
And you can't tell me you'd have Crouch in your squad for goalscoring ability. Crouch got almost every long ball (which was every pass we made, incidentally; thankyou to David, Paul and Rio!!!) aimed at him for the past 10 games. I think I could score 5 goals if I was in his position as well.

Acording to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus, Fiorentina and Lazio will be relegated to the Serie B.
AC Milan is staying in Serie A but won't be allowded to play next season's Champion's League.
http://www.gazzetta.it/
Van Nistelrooy heading for Real Madrid.

Still, I'm sure that you would cut both your arms of yourself if you could get that much quality down at Sunderland.

Finally they will announce whats to happen in Serie A - talk about delaying things! Any kind of punishment to the clubs is just absurd
The champiosn league is full of teams that shouldn't be there, teams that are blatantly not amongst Europe's elite - and with Juve and Ac Milan missing too u'll be hard pressed to tell the UEFA CUP from the Champions league....

Why is it absurd? The clubs cheated, they got caught, they get punished, end of story.

no, i think izzy is of the opinion that since it was the officials who cheated it should be they who are punished, which is quite reasonable as its the fans who will end up losing out most.
however, to do nothing or to simply slap their wrists is not the answer. corruption is not rife in football, big clubs tend to get the big decisions but the fact that clubs have been caught cheating means that their must be a punishment that will warn other clubs not to do it (or get caught atleast). Whilst i agree with izzy's views (im presuming that was what he meant) the clubs that are found guilty must be relegated. Otherwise teams will be able to continue fixing games safe in the knowledge that their position will not be affected, simply those involved in the cheating.
Anyway, it'll all be announced very soon and we'll know.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy has asked to leave Man Utd.
Unless Torres or someone like him takes his place (well, actually, takes Saha's place, cause lately Van's place has been on the bench), things will go wrong...not for the Glazers, though, they keep cashing in on players...

Well....
I remember years ago i just loved Seria A - it was this amazing league in which 7 teams (Milan, Inter, Roma, Parma, Fiorentina, Juventus, Lazio) could all win the league or atleast finish top 3 - and this wasnt even an illusion, league positions really did show a league of possibilities
I looked at Man Utd's lead each season and dreamed of a day - one day - when we'd have a league like theirs
And now
I look at Seria A with its attendences figures plumenting year on year and now without 3 of its biggest teams.
Well done Italian FA - ur supposed to be improving the league and u've just destroyed it
Which Italian teams will now be in the Champions League - cant wait for that thrilling group game against Brescia
How much advertising money do u think they lost today alone - how many networks wont be bothering to show Italian football next year?
