Just to clarify...
Playing advantage doesn't mean you ignore the incident. Many times you'll see the referee go back and (more often) book/send off the player once the advantage has played out. So even if the Barca goal had have counted, there should have been no complaints if Lehmen went, too........ A deliberate attempt to deny a goal scoring opportunity, possibly the most blatant read card save from having a fight... And the 'it was early' bollocks is just that; bollocks. I could understand if it was the third minutes, but we were a good twenty minutes in!
Though, of course... I would have rather he stayed on and, as shit as the referee was, that particular incident was far more Lemon's fault then the referee's.
Who else had to endure Andy Gray's commentary? I like a bit of passion, but that man brings the term bias to a whole new level... And I thought it was just Chelsea!

The Lehmann thing : As a football fan (but even more a Barcelona fan) I would certainly have prefered Lehmann to have remained on the pitch and the goal to have stood. However watching it again, there was intent, Lehmann reached out to Eto'o, grabbed his ankle and pulled him over with the exact aim of preventing him from scoring. He had to go My Verdict : Lehmann is a cheating bastard
But thats not the point, is it? He should have played advantage and allow the goal. Aparently he addmited that he was wrong and the he should have waited before blowing the whistle

I agree that perhaps he should have played advantage, but my point was that Arsenal fans and players should really have nothing to complain about, there was intent and he needed to go, Champions League Final/Passion/ruining people's night bullshit aside.

Yeah, definitely. The referee was bad for both teams. I couldn't believe some of the things I heard this morning at work...

Barcelona's Equaliser : Another great move, good pass to Laarson and a nice little flick by him to set up Eto'o, appeared offside at first but watching it again he was bang on. And one question to all of you that claim it was offside, did you watch the replay or just believed what the Arsenal players and Wenger said? My Verdict : I fucking hit the roof after this goal, but watching it again I thought offside, on closer inspection Eto'o was bang onside, good goal.
You're wrong, I watched the replay plenty of times and he was just offside when the ball was played. ?I'm not looking to make excuses but it's true.
And yes, there's no denying that it was a red card offense, but if the ref had chosen to play on then Lehmann would've just been due a yellow card. ?That's the rule.? I think.? I'm not certain.

Same, I'll admit it was extremely tight but I still think he was bang on, right on the line like. And even so it doesn't bother me if he was offside, Arsenal got their first goal unfairly aswell, even more unfairly than Barcelona did.

yeah i think so, if he had to have let play continue then the keeper wouldnt have prevented a goal scoring oppertunity
and as for the offside, when its that tight the advantage has to go to the attacking team, isnt that the rule

Probably.? The offside doesn't bother me, cause like Jamie said our goal was probably more unfair.? The better team won, obviously.

Hmm. The only angle that I have seen has the player who played it through (Larrson, wasn't it?) with his back to the camera, so you can't tell when he touches it. I have no opinion on the matter, but for the sake of argument: your goal came through a dive anyway.
... On Lemon, I think that he still could have been sent off for intent; he
tried
to prevent a goal scoring opportunity. You get sent off for swinging a punch, don't you......

Henry's staying!? Arsenal have called a media conference for 2pm where they're expected to confirm it!
I'm so happy.? I think i'd rather us lose the Champions League but keep Henry than the other way round.? I'm not gonna say "I t_ld y_u s_" until it's been confirmed that he's actually signed the deal.? But I did, many times.

The new rule states there has to be day light and there wasn't, I'd say he was level, his body was facing the goal and the defenders was away form goal, that's why it looked offside.

Isn't the whole point of having class players to win things, whats the point in having them and not winning owt?!

Well I wanna win stuff next season, and the season after that hopefully.? Without Henry we won't be ready to compete with Chelsea but with him we could really be a major force again, especially as Reyes has supposedly gotten over his homesickness now.? I want one more world class player, preferably a striker or attacking midfielder.? Then we'll be ready.

... That would be Dimitar Berbatov, our new ?10 million striker.
But, more importantly, check out the old skool-ness of our new home shirt.........

With Berbatov in Spurs, I guess we'll see Defoe in Pool next season, as rumoured...
I just hope that the trade-rumours saying that we will trade Kewell for him aren't true...

I dont want Kewel or Defoe anywhere near Liverpool - Defoe is well below the standards of the top half of the table and Kewel manages one game in every 30 through injury...

Which is a shame, because they both have huge potential. I would be interested in Kewell comming to Spurs though, because we have enough cover for when he's out (... which is two third of the time) and I do rate him.
Of all the sicknotes over the years, people like Darren Anderton (ahem...) were never going to be world beaters. I always felt gutted for Jamie Redknapp though, he could have had such an incredible career. One of my favourite players from a less than glistening era for us, and a worthy captain.
