Cahill didn't do so well in his previous game but one of the coaches that worked with him at Burnley (on loan) who also worked with John Terry says that Cahill is on par.
The goal was excellent!
And boy am I happy to help send the scum back down on their way to the Championship
I fear Baros will leave after a good World Cup and Villa will join Birmingham City in the Championship in the not so distant future

Your stuck with him for ever
...and a good World Cup? Baros?
As a Liverpool fan I can say whether we win, lose or draw i still feel a million dollars looking at the team sheet and seeing no Heskey, Smicer or Baros
Ah, good times!

He is by far our best player.. (yes yes at Villa right now that accolade isn't hard to achieve)
Liverpool bought him after a good European Championships didn't they?

Bollocks. Ahh well, we could afford to lose one of them, now we just need to avoid defeat against the old enemy.

I can't see The Arsenal rolling over against Spurs at the last ever North London derby at Highbury.

It is a major blow to us that King is going to miss the rest of the season, probably as major as it gets. The worrying thing was the quality that we had on the bench against United... The problem being that there wasn't any.
But anyway, we don't need them to roll over. As I said, we just need to avoid defeat.

Yes! ?Excellent!
Now we're set up for the perfect showdown at Highbury. ?We have home advantage, but Tottenham only need a draw so it couldn't be any closer. ?I just hope our champions league games don't distract us at all - i'm guessing that's why Wenger was resting players so recklessly last week.
And yeah, King's injury is a really big deal for Spurs, as well as England. Here's hoping he recovers just in time for the World Cup.
COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!

^ Let's just hope that Martin Jol doesn't park the team bus in front of the goal as Mourinho accused him of doing last year.

Nope, several years before that he joined us and delighted us with his sublime mix of zero ball control and weak finishing
..and then, a saviour arrived in the form of Aston Villa FC and took him away for ever, eyeyeye
....as a result i love Aston Villa almost as much as I love Birmingham who took Heskey away - god bless ya both, ur welcome to all our other bad strikers

Yep, and if you don't think Jol is going to play for a draw on Saturday, you are very much mistaken.
If they try to take on The Arsenal at Highbury, they'll lose the game and 4th spot.

Nice! Barca beatin AC at the San Siro 1-0. Now I'm a fan of both clubs, in their respective leagues, but I believe Barca are the better team, and deserve to progress and win the Champo's League. AC won't just lay down and die for the return leg though so another good performance will be needed.
But slightly off topic of the match itself, did anyone catch the match on TV3 by any chance? Bleedin Toshack thinkin that AC were goin to win comfortably because Barca had no Messi. Has he been livin under a rock for the past few weeks?! Barca have had no Messi for a while now and they're still winning matches without him. Idiot.

Just so that you are aware, your 'park the bus' comment not only made little sense,
, in that it was baseless, but was also totally inacurate,
.
Martin Jol has never, nor will he ever, 'park the bus.' He prides himself on a proud footballing tradition as well as the goal (gettit?) of total football (he's Dutch...).
Now, Mr. Mourinho, you say? Last season, eh (
Season
being the emphasis, it was last season, not last year)? Park the bus, hmm... Oh, yes, I remember. That was a Tottenham team under Jacques Santini.
I know my Spurs, you clearly don't
. If you're going to bring up events from seasons gone by as cheap jabs, at least have the decency to get it right.
(Both the time and correct person next time, preferably)

Good luck to Middlesbrough. Here's hoping we get 2 English based teams in the finals this year.
1-0 last night was a good result, but we're gonna have a really tough time in Spain next tuesday. I definately see them scoring, so we're gonna need an away goal to get us through the tie. It's a shame we had 2 perfectly good goals disallowed last night, but you have to accept that these things happen.
