Well league tables and finals and the likes aren't always the most reliable sources. Were Liverpool really the best team in Europe last season? If so why didn't they even win the Premiership? Who wins what trophy or what league doesn't necessarily tell the full story.
No but I think the league table is more conclusive at showing who the best team over a season is, better than cup competitions anyway as more luck can be involved in cup competitions.

man utd 2-0 arsenal?
This is the first time in a while I can honestly say that Man United is the top team in the Premier League. Unfortunately it's a little too late...
Are you having a fucking laugh?
its true, man utd are having thier best run since i think 99.they definetly are the best team in the premiership at the moment and that will be confirmed if we beat chelsea at the bridge.
what makes you think henry would have made a difference against united if he started the game or not.he hasnt made a difference in any game hes ever played against united, fact.actually he has scored 1 goal against united, when we beat arsenal
6-1 ?
Didn't he score a beauty at Highbury a few years back against scum?
? That game wasn't 6-1 was it?
i think youll find it was
.
also, you can be top of the table by 10 points but not be the best team at the time.if your top of the table and increasing the gap from second place then you are the best team but if second place is decreasing the gap on top spot then that makes the second team the better one.wow, what a tounge twister.utd are the most on form team which makes them the better team at the mo.anyway that all could change against sunderland on friday so i aint counting my chickens until the eggs have hatched

True they are more accurate than cup competitions but there have been seasons when United won the Premiership and may not have deserved it, and didn't win the Premiership and did deserve it.

That's such a stupid thing to say. ?You're the most in-form team in the Premiership. ?That means nothing - teams go in and out of form all the time. ?If Sunderland were to suddenly start winning all their games now it wouldn't make them the best.
Quote
actually he has scored 1 goal against united, when we beat arsenal 6-1
That's even more stupid, as Henry has scored three goals against them at least. ?Yeah, he scored that peachy volley in a game which certainly did not finish 6-1, then a few seasons ago he hit one from distance that went straight down the midde into the roof of the net (that game finished 1-1), and he also scored in that 6-1 defeat in the mickey mouse cup. ?That's three - so there.

I don't recall any of those other goals, and it mentioned in the commentary on Sky Sports the other day that he only scored one against United. But I dunno, they could of made a mistake.

That's surely wrong. Except that incredible volley in 2000, I remember a few years ago Barthez gifted Henry 2 late goals

ok to clarify things, henry has only scored one goal against united
AT OLD TRAFFORD
, that was the day yorkie got his hatrick in that demolition, his other goals agaist them have come at other grounds, infact arsenal havent scored a league goal at old trafford since 2002
and the league table does not lie, chelsea are top because they have been the best team ove the course of the season, unfortunatley for us utd fans that season started 33 games ago last august, people seem to forget that

Okay, this kid don't lie. The commentator said at Old Trafford...
The league table doesn't lie
at the end of
the season. Everybody has to have played everybody twice to show the best team over the course of a season... Just hold out a little longer.
And pray for a Chelsea collapse!
The only problem is, we're going to take points of United on Easter Monday, so... I guess the title race is over.

Well, it's all in Tottenham's hands now. Adebayor's complete incompetence might just have cost Arsenal 4th place.

Ha, I wouldn't trust a chocolate egg in our hands for fear it would break...
This weekend is crucial. Everton is going to be a tough match, but if we can beat them then we can afford to lose to United as long as we don't then go up to Arsenal and lose.
I was wrong though. The game against United is at the Lane, the 1-1 was up at Old Trafford. So I feel more confident about that match now. Score draw. Followed by a score draw against Arsenal. If by some Easter Miracle we won both games over Easter weekend, going to Highbury would be a dream.
I'm made up that I quit my job when I did, because the number of times that Spurs have been on TV recently has been ridiculous... If I was still working, I would have missed them all. I think that we've had a game on TV every week this year, save for about three of them.

one game doesnt determine the outcome of the season
arsenal have lost 11 games i thnk, dont blame them not getting 4th place on one players poor performance

You can't help but think that missing an open goal does somehow play a major part in where a team finishes, especialy at the business end of the season. That's what Danny meant, not a poor performance. It really was an open goal... Seriously.

and i was talkin about the points situation.spurs can afford to actually lose a match and with only five games left, that puts them in favs for 4th place

United 0-0 Sunderland
To sum up that match in just a few words:
Extremely fucking frustrating.
We didn't deserve it though. It was a horrible performance by almost every Man U player on the pitch, with the exception of two, Gary Neville and Ji-Sung Park. The rest were horrendous. Typical United though 9 games in a row they win and then when they really need the 3 points more then before, they blow it; against the worst team in the Premiership. Idiots.
