Yo, this England side has spirit - I like that. ok

Our weak spot is Rio Ferdinand, who will be picked in Germany despite being a total liability.  He dwells on the ball too much, tries to take attackers on and gives the ball away all the time.  Ledley King is by far the best choice as Terry's partner at the moment, unless Campbell somehow manages to bounce back from his injury in style.

Well, I watched the first half and twenty minutes of the second. So I missed the goals.

But it was really fucking boring. I mean, we weren't bad, we were all right. Nice bit of possession, few chances...But so fucking boring.

If Big Sam does take over, then we really will be Bolton.

Come on the Curb!!

Staunton's first game in charge of Ireland. What are your opinions? Yes or No on Stevie? I think we might win it, he's restored a lot of confidence in the lads, judging by interviews as of late, and he retired from Ireland not to long ago, so some of the more senior players in the squad might get along with him. And with Bobby Robson supplying that extra bit of experience I think it's gonna go well.

i was up at the match tonight, i thought we were brilliant, fully deserved to win

dunne, duff and keane were fantastic, harte and o brein also had great games, im not to keen on andy o'brein tho, we def need another centre half

o shea still looks a bit lost in the middle of the field, elliot played well on the wing considering he was out of position

At least the fact that England scored the winning goal in the fourth minute of Injury time shows they have Stamina and their fitness levels are good ok ok,At the end of the day I don't care how England win as long as they win,If England are In the Final against Brazil For Arguments sake In it was a boring Nil Nil draw all the way through to penalties and they won by 6 Penalties to 5 I couldn't care less we would be world champs Joy Abounding

Jamie Carragher!!

Liverpool's defence is fat better than Spurs, and Carragher is the reason. He is the most in form defender in the premiership at the moment.

It doesn't matter if no-one can decipher the strange language that he speaks, he's still quality.

I still think Sven should be sacked before the world cup (based on the fact that we only just managed to beat Uruguay at home) and Allardyce is the man for the job. Fuck Curbishley, Charlton are shit.

No, the reason is because we've had to play Kelly recently..........................

King is a far superio defender to Carragher, and he's about four years younger. Carragher has, and always will be, a squad player as far as England are concerned.

I mean, so is King at the moment...But, were Sven to grow some fucking bollocks and decide to drop both Campbell and Rio, then there is no doubt in my mind that he would opt for Ledley alongside Terry.

Hell, so would most other managers.

I wouldn't be suprised at all to see King and Terry playing together for England after Sven leaves, especialy if we can get into Europe; what with the added experience and all.

Yeah, great match, wasn't lucky enough to be there myself though, but I was in a packed Dublin pub, so it's the next best thing! And as you said we were class and after each goal Staunton was the first man the team ran to congratulate, he seems to have a good bond with his players roll on World Cup 2010!!  hihi

Think smaller.  Rep of Ireland could have a decent shot at Euro08 if they can play like that more often.

That's pretty wierd - I know we left it late to get the goals but we dominated that game and eventually got the win we deserved.  It was Sven's substitutions that turned the game in our favour, he deserves credit for it not the sack.  We only fell behind cause of a fluke goal - that was a good performance against a strong team.

Allardyce is not the man for the job.  He's much too fat.

Well, I didn't see every minute of the game, but what I saw in the first half, we weren't that good. And yes, the substitutions turned the game in our favour, but bringing off Sven's own choice for captain, and our best striker I hardly see as his tactical brilliance, rather letting Crouch and Wright-Phillips show themselves whilst still leaving Bent on the field.

Don't fool yourself if you think for a minute he'd bring off Beckham in a world cup game unless he was on a yellow card, he loves him too much.

Anyway, Bolton are a much better team than Charlton, and they're a better squad of individual players too. Charlton are by no means serious challengers for a european spot, whereas Bolton are. Fat Sam is by far the best English manager for the Job.

When you say better, what you mean is that they get the results...

Have you seen Bolton play recently? They're a horrible team to watch.

Spurs vs. Blackburn really was a fantastic advert for the Premiership.

I'll be honest, I haven't seen much of Blackburn this season. And I had preconceptions, given how they have played in previous seasons. Add that to the fuck that I fucking hate Dickov and Savage with a passion, and I guess you couldn't exactly call me a fan. But they were great. An exciting team that pass the ball around nicely. Also, I do think that Steven Reid is a great player.

We were really lucky to hold on until the end.

For any neutrals that missed it, try and catch the highlights tonight if you can.

I can honestly say, without bias, that it was probably the most attack orientated game that I have seen (in the Premiership) this season. It was like a cup tie.

Each team wanted it so badly, and Blackburn would definatly have deserved a point had they equalised.

But it really was a testament to how far we have come that we managed to win the game.

I'm so fucking pumped now. This is the first time that I have seriously considered that we might actually have a shot at fourth place.

'Are you watching Arsenal!' There was a great atmosphere at the Lane, as always, it would have been fantastic to be there.

Blackburn have change dramtically since Hughes took over.

They WERE a team that woul just kick the shit out of you and maybe grab a goal and win 1-0 but now...now they just seem alot more confident in going forward and having a go while still have the ability to dog it out if needs be.

I still don't know why a bigger club haven't tried picking up Morten Gampst Pederson...he's fucking brutal Cool
