He took a point-blank shot from Risse in the leg, I reakon he got off lightly!

it was his other leg that he broke, not the leg he used to block it

the force of the shot went all the way up one leg and into the other forcing the break. sorta like how popeye's muscles go when he eats spinach, y'know?

Your fans acted disgustingly though.

Well - when a rival player goes down he doens't usually get much sympathy - how were they to know it was a serious injury - after all, they saw no foul, nothing to suggest anything bad had happened. U have to remember Man Utd players dive like crazy, especially against Liverpool

It would be bad enough, but there had been all that fuss about Neville showing a bit of passion last time...It's a disgrace, really.

That was a deliberate attemtp by a shite player to wind up the opposing fans - not only is he a shite player, but he's an idiot too, u don't taunt the other teams fans - is he that insecure?

How were they to know that it was a serious injury? Seeing that the chant had 'broken leg' in it, you can pretty much gather that the fans were fully aware that it was a serious injury.  Roll Eyes

Yeah Smithy seems to be in serious trouble. It's a pity too because since the beginning I've been a supporter of him playing in the midfield roll, unlike every other football fan on the planet. But yeah like you guys were saying, it wasn't the force of the ball that dealt the injury, if you manage to get a glimpse of the incident again watch how Smithy's leg lands, it goes right up behind him, and lands pretty akwardly too, that's what would have done the damage.

Clumsy bastard.

Anyways, did anyone catch Arsenal's masterclass against Real Madrid on tuesday?  Arsenal were spectacular, though Real were very poor.  Ljungberg and Fabregas played just about as well as i've ever seen them play and our whole defence was spot on.  It's a damn shame we didn't get more goals, cause 1-0 is not as strong a lead as it first seemed and the away goal counts for nothing.  It's gonna be a tough second leg methinks.

Aye on the away goals, because you can pretty much gaurantte that Real will score at least one in the return.

On Ljunberg...Yeah, he was pretty good, but he's lost his killer touch. He could have had a hat trick, were it not for poor first and last touches.

But, no, Arsenal were...all right, I guess.......

Arsenal was brilliant last night. Apart from Becks and Cassillas, all the Madrid players were turned to rubbish!

And Henry showed that he can actually play decent Football against a good team, that's pretty rare  Grin
