The why did u respond?
Chelsea - all down to luck - such insight!
And i repeat my point, try watching some football, its actually a pretty good game - not that you'd know.
p.s its often the red button that turns ur tv on, i thought that might help
p.ss. Chelsea play in blue not orange with pink spots
I said not take seriously, not ignore altogether, and for the rest then alright Buddy, whatever makes you think you are getting the better of me, you can keep on thinking I don't watch football or whatever else you might choose to say, but I don't care. Now I am done with this discussion.

Arsenal are set to win the ?15m race for highly-rated Southampton teenager Theo Walcott, BBC Sport understands.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/4608456.stm
Is this for real? Surely thats a typo?
15 mill for some kid i have never even heard of? 15 mll for a player without premiership or international experience?!?
Thats beyond insane- are Arsenal try to stay in 6th?

The pressure might destroy the kid, knowing that an obscene sum of money were spent on him...Rooney at least had a few Premiership seasons under his belt, he knew what pressure was.

Yeah, we were tracking him as well, as were United. It's not that suprising really, that they were willing to pay that much.
He's been in the news quite a lot. There's been a lot of talk about him in the year just gone.
And, sure, he's had no Premiership experience. But he has been playing in the Championship. And, yes, while this is a big step up, he isn't expected to be starting for the first team every week...
Now, as a Spurs fan I'm gutted that we didn't get him, and he went to the Gooners instead. Sure, we had no
real
chance, but there was always the possibility. As an
England
fan, however, I'm glad that of all the Premiership managers (outside of Jol...) that he is going to be under Arsene Wenger, one of the most proven at getting the best out of young talent.
The kids got a bright future...
It's just a pity that Arsenal are going to lose out on the fourth Champions League spot to us.

Crikey, ?15mill and I haven't heard of him either. He'd better not be another Reyes.
Whatever, I guess i'm just happy to see a new signing. We should get Rosiky and Torres as well, they're both available and have a touch of class. And no, Spurs will not finish with one of the Champions League spots, so quite dreaming Jimmy boy.

Doesn't make any sense they'd blow their entire transfer budget on ''potential'' who will be lucky to make 10 starts next season...

Glad i ain't the only one who hadn't heard of him...
If he does get signed and does play he'll surely replace Reyes in the team? If so - surely thats 17 mill down the drain?

The truth - its all some media spin story with no substance
From Wenger:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits he is a fan of the 16-year-old striker, but denies a deal is imminent.
"I rate the player and like him,
but we are not close to sealing a deal
," he told BBC Radio Five Live.
Wenger added that a ?15m fee would be far too high for a player of only 16.
"It (?15m) is not a lot, it is massive," he said. "It's the money for a confirmed player and it's a little bit too high."
I though 15 mill was absurd and Mr Wenger clearly agrees - this is just the media's attempt to give themselves something to talk about

Horrendous performance by United today, attacked poorly, gave the ball away stupidly almost everytime they got it, defended poorly; I think the only thing positive to come out of that game from a United point of view was Alan Smith's performance in the midfield, possibly our only player of the day, with the exception of Van Nistelrooy, who played half decent. And I believe had he started in the centre instead of Fletcher or O'Shea we would have had a chance today. But could haves and should haves are no excuse United were terrible, and got no less then they deserved.

Sven caught in 'sheikh sting'
SVEN-G?RAN ERIKSSON today faces an excruciatingly embarrassing conversation with his employers, the Football Association, after being caught in a classic tabloid sting in which he was lured into discussing his employment options after this summer?s World Cup, writes Alan Hunter.
The England head coach talked with undercover journalists from the News of the World about becoming manager of Aston Villa on a salary of ?5m a year after tax and prising David Beckham away from Real Madrid to join him at Villa Park.
His indiscreet remarks about other members of the England squad will make his next meeting with them, for the World Cup warm- up against Uruguay in March, potentially awkward too. He said of Michael Owen?s transfer to Newcastle United: ?I talked to him and said, ?You are happy?? He said, ?Not really with the club, but economically I have never earned that money in my life?.?
Eriksson also appeared to suggest that Wayne Rooney?s problems keeping his temper in check arose from his background. ?He?s coming from a poor family, a very rough . . . area,? said Eriksson. The coach also admitted that he dropped Rio Ferdinand earlier this season because ?he was not in good shape? and agreed with the reporters? suggestions that the defender was ?too talented for his own good?.
Posing in typical fashion as a rich Arab ? which has earned him the Fleet Street monicker ?the fake Sheikh? ? Mazher Mahmood, the newspaper?s investigations editor, invited Eriksson, along with his agent Athole Still and Richard Des Voeux, one of his lawyers, to Dubai last week under the pretext of discussing coaching at a new football academy in the Gulf state. However, fuelled by fine food and Dom Perignon champagne in the seven-star Burj al-Arab hotel and on a 72ft yacht called Eternity, talk among the group soon turned to the prospect of buying a club and installing Eriksson as coach. When asked for suggestions, the Swede replied: ?Aston Villa is for sale.?
Pressed further, Eriksson began to talk about his contractual arrangements at the FA, acknowledging that nothing would happen before the World Cup, but offering some encouragement to his apparent suitors. ?Everything is possible, but only at the end of the season,? he said. His contract with England runs until 2008 and he expressed concern that ?if I just walk out then (the FA) will ask for money?.
The journalists quizzed Eriksson about his plans for Villa, who it was intimated he would manage for a three-year contract worth ?15m after tax, and were amazed when he suggested he could bring Beckham, his captain with England, to Villa Park. ?I know for sure he wants to come back to England,? he said. ?If it?s a London club he will come back tomorrow. And it?s up to me to convince him that Birmingham is the right place to be.?
Last night a spokesman for the FA said: ?We?ll have to look closely at the content of the report before we make any comment.?

Haha I just saw it on Sky News UK too..
He said Rooney is like he is because he comes from a poor family and rough area and will never be a Beckham..
Said Ferdinand is lazy and too talented for his own good..
Owen only in it for the money..
Offered to tap up Beckham to join Villa.. suggested they buy Villa because Ellis is in poor health and discussed a deal to become manager if they get controlling interest..
What an idiot!?

Why on earth would an English tabloid want to rock the boat just as we're preparing for a World Cup? Sven's a retard for fooling for it, but that was entrapment for sure and it wasn't fair. Who cares what he does after the World Cup? I didn't want him to stay any longer than that anyway.
Godamn scummy tabloids, I really hate them.

Haha! Rooney will never be a Beckham! I'd swap that around if I was him, and why would Beckham leave Real (who granted aren't doing great this season) to go to Villa?! Eriksson is such a friekin goon

Arsenal's bid of ?12million for Walcott has been rejected.? For a 16 year old, they won't take twelve million!? Why?? Chelsea, of course.? They're apparently lining up a ?15million bid, even though he's said he'd much rather go to Arsenal.? What a bunch of arrogant tossers!
It's just like Sean Wright Phillips, they only want him because we're after him.? They don't need 3 teams worth of players, but they just can't help themselves.

Well the FA have given him their full support. I guess either was it's a difficult call. If they get rid of him now it will discrupt their world cup campaign even more so.
15 million for Walcott is just insane.

Anelka fancies Newcastle switch
French international Nicolas Anelka wants to make Newcastle his next English club.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City striker, who also spent a spell on loan at Liverpool, wants to quit Turkish side Fenerbahce and return to the Premiership.
He ruled out a move to Everton, but admits he would be tempted if Newcastle boss Graeme Souness made a move.
'I don't want to waste my time any more in the Turkish Championship,' Anelka told the Daily Star Sunday.
'The only trouble is that they don't want to sell me for nothing. But my brothers are trying to find me a club in England.
'I have heard of Everton's interest, but I don't want to go there.
'I want to get back into the Premiership and I would like that club to be Newcastle United.'

Jealous???
Walcott should stay where he is, learn his game in the championship til he's 18 or 19 then look to move, still young enough to improve greatly and become class at his new big club, be it chelsea or arsenal.
