Lol, when they met at Stamford bridge - Barcelona were so arrogant, and got soundly taken apart

Yes, Bar?a got taken apart first 20 minutes but the rest of the game they dominated and sadly, Chelsea got a goal that shouln't have count (Carvalho's foul on Vald?s).

Ha! What reason would I have to be jealous?! My team are the most successful in Premiership history, why would I be jealous of a team that bought and fluked their way to the title? I'm annoyed that that's how they won it however, if they had won the title honestly by building their team instead of just fuckin buying every player they wanted I wouldn't care. I just think what their doing is bad for the game, and as a football fan dissaprove, not as a Man U fan.

chelsea's total domination of the english game?. Man Yoo may be the most succesful team in premiership history but you've not won much in a while and dont look like winning anything soon.

Hate the game, not the player. Chelsea are not the first team to buy success and they won't be the last. You are pissed cos they are the current team in control.

chelsea's total domination of the english game?

It's not them actually dominating the English game I'm pissed off with, it's how they're doing it is what's pissing me off, if I haven't made that clear enough already then I dunno what else to say, if they built up their team like every other honest premiership team is trying to do instead of just buying a new squad, I wouldn't care, hell I'd even be happy for them, but that's not how it's happening, they're buying and fluking their success which is not how football should happen.

We won the premiership in 02 and the FA cup the season before last, and we've looked good in the Carling Cup so far, and I'm confident that our FA cup campaign this year will go well for us, and there's always the Premiership next year too, if Chelsea don't bite the dust in the next few months.

I'm glad to say this whole football being a business thing isn't too much of a problem for me to start actually hating the game, but I resent any team that uses it to their advantage to win trophies and gain international success, like Chelsea.

At least when United and Arsenal were dominant, they were interesting to watch.... Roll Eyes

Chelsea's 'dominance' of the English game is a pseudo-dominance, as far as I am concerned.

The 'best' football teams don't always win things; you will find that quite often it is the most organised that do.

And that is what Chelsea are. A very, very, organised team. A well oiled machine, if you will...

The Arsenal of two seasons ago. The Real Madrid of three or four years ago. The United of 98/99, and so on.

Those were great teams that will go down in history.

You think that these Chelsea pretenders will?

Ha!

As far as champions go, real football fans will place them alongside the Greece and Portos of this world; well organised teams that managed to triumph. There is no true greatness to be found at Stamford Bridge; at least not yet. It may well come, I'd say in about 2 years. But, right now, their focus is on winning and that alone. They couldn't care less about the 'beautiful game.'

And for that reason, and that reason only (oh, my jealousy asside of course. There is no pretence here), I have no current interest in this team as far as football goes. I would much rather be watching the Spurs. Smiley

In other news - what a game for Liverpool, such a great comeback, we just couldn't get back into games under Houllier, the team really is becoming something quite impresive, not quite there yet though, but close...

Chelsea are lucky only because Abramovich chose them ahead of the other 19 teams in the Premiership.

After nearly a year of tabloids and pundits putting words in his mouth, Henry has finally made a statement about his future.? What did he have to say? - "the truth is I love this club and i've made up my mind to stay".? HAH!? No, I mean MOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!? This is the best news i've heard all season! rofl

Chelsea can bite me cause we have Henry and they don't.

If you don't lose goals you can't lose games. All those 1-0 victories make the difference between 1st and 2nd place.

The funny thing is, last year Liverpool kicked them out of the Champinons League by no conceeding and eventualy scoring the single goal

For Arsenal's sake i hope so - without him the team really isn't very good at the moment, some major invesment is needed

No, no. That's the Chelsea way.

Like New Tottenham, Arsenal have development programs. Major investement was never Arsenal's way of getting to the top.

Unless paying Henry ridiculously is classed as an investment...

But, no. I think that's just good sense.  Cool

Bah. It doesn't feel right to be so un-anti-Arsenal...

The funny thing is, last year Liverpool kicked them out of the Champinons League by no conceeding and eventualy scoring the single goal

Well.

That's open to debate...

Away to Bolton, that's about as bad a draw as I can think of.  I hope we get through it, cause I want the chance to take on Chelsea one more time. smoking

OK yeah, this coming from someone who thinks Roy Keane is a washed up thug with no talent, I'm sorry but after those absurd comments about Roy I have decided to take nothing you say about football seriously.

And i repeat my point, try watching some football, its actually a pretty good game - not that you'd know.

p.s its often the red button that turns ur tv on, i thought that might help

p.ss. Chelsea play in blue not orange with pink spots

Okay boys, okay. Now, I'm all up for a barney, but come on. You're going round in circles here. Call it quits, eh? Agree to...Not agree with each other.

Oh, and in relation to the thread...the second half against Leicster was the worst I've seen us play since Jol took over from Santini. Rasiak, Brown and Kelly just aren't good enough. Now, they're not particuarily bad players, they do belong in the Premiership...But they don't fit in alongside people like Lennon, who had an incredible first half and then...was absent for the second. But he is only 18.

Their first goal was a defensive shambles, their second took a major deflection and the third was...Actually, it was onside. We shouldn't have tried to play for it, and it illustrated that while Gardner has done all right, the boy done good, this team desperatly needs King back. And Davids was sourly missed in the middle. But nobody was missed as much as Mido. I think that, because I'm used to seeing him now, I don't really appreciate just how good he is now. He was a bit hit and miss at first, but he is fantastic at playing just behind a Robbie Keane or a Jermain Defoe. Rasiak, on the other hand, looks like he didn't have a clue where he was playing or what he was supposed to be doing.

On the whole, we were definatly the better team. But if it came down to desire to win then, yeah, I guess that Leicster deserved it slightly more...
