Beckham admits he would't be the player he is without Ferguson
That looks bad for Fergie then - cos Beckham is an incredibly limited player, can't dribble, head, tackle etc, doesn't look like Fergie did much at all
Not the Becks discussion again...

Indeed, nothing left to say - even the most arduous fan mist not admit he's an over-rated over the hill player who was good at crosses and free kicks....and nothing else
anyway - Liverpool, just fantastic - 7 wins in a row, 10 clean sheets in all competitions. I thought they take 3rd this season - maybe 2nd now!

Lazyness stops me from saying why I think David is an exceptional player....
But I must admit, even being a ManU fan, that Rooney has becomed a little bit overrated...he is a great forward and all, but comparing him with Best and naming him as England's biggest hope for the World Cup, come on??!
Both him and Cristiano Ronaldo have the potential to become the top two players in the world, but they're both a long way from that...the biggest problem is that they both look incredibly stupid to me

Well obviously you hold averything regarding Manchester United in a very low regard, so arguing with you is completly pointless

Haha, Christiano Ronaldo?!
Rooney maybe, he's got the talent for it. Ronaldo is a poor passer, average shooter, average crosser and number one fuckup-of-a-show-off. Playing in the same team as Ronaldo would be worse than playing with Reyes!

ronaldo is a circus act. he can do pointless flicks all game long but untill he learns to pass, shoot and cross he is a liability.

Lets not forget he can't actually shoot in a straight line - for hilarious misses, he is your man

This really highlights Sven's mentality and mockery of England games.
Talk of such a match may not go down too well with England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson however.
Australia won 3-1 when the two teams last met at Upton Park in February 2003 and Eriksson, who fielded an entirely different side in each half that night, recently admitted the rivalry between the two countries caught him by surprise.
Ahead of last week's World Cup draw, Eriksson said: 'English-speaking countries are desperate to beat England in a big tournament, which is why I don't want to play against Australia or the United States.
'But there is a wider aspect to Australia. There is a sporting rivalry between the two countries. What I saw during the summer when England won the cricket was amazing.
'If I had known all about the rivalry, I would never have played that friendly against them.
'It was far from a friendly game. They wanted to beat us, and they did
.'
A friendly is just a figure of speach. A game with no trophy.. no competition points. Why would he have not wanted to play Australia just because they came out wanting to win? What a cop-out. Go on Sven.. go and book a friendly against some team that just doesn't give a fuck.. that's the way! We (England, Aust. is my 2nd home) are soon going to come across this rivalry if we play Germany, Argentina, Brazil etc in the World Cup! Sven's mentality just amazes me? ?
Sven changed the whole team at half time the last time they met.. it just makes a mockery of international matches and a mockery of putting on the England shirt.

I think Celtic was the best choice by a mile - they're his childhood team, they fill out their ground all the time, they win stuff and yet it shouldn't be too challenging cause it's in Scotland. There's no point in doing a Thomas Graveson right at the end of your carreer.

Real Madrid, and AC Milan aren't big teams? And even after the "big teams" there were several more looking for him also, i.e half of the Premiership.
Keane has wanted to go to Celtic for a long time, and for as long as I can remember has always talked about ending his career there. And if you think he's over the hill, see what millions of Man U, Ireland, and now Celtic fans have to say about that, he is a legend and a credit to his country and I wish him well at Celtic.

and they rated him so highly they didn't pursue him even though he's free!

keane is how old? late 20's to mid 30's?
any club that would be looking for him would have to keep the short term benifits in mind because he is close to retirment from club play along side international.
then again i could be wrong, i dont exactly know how old he is.

Keane is an over the hill thug, Becks is overrated, Smith is a crap signing, Cristiano Ronaldo has no skill... I'm curious, Izzy, what's your opinion on Ryan Giggs?

They did pursue him, he had a physical at Real, and nearly every week you heard of a new manager after him, the reason it took him so long is because he was a free agent and wanted to keep (being the thug that he is) his family's as well as his own interest at mind. With that, on top of the fact he had no deadlines to meet and had no talks between clubs about transfer fees to worry about, he wanted to take his time deciding where he would end up for the sake of his family.
