roy keane broke a bone in his foot, hes gonna miss about 2 months? Sad

I'd say that was good news for Man Utd - Keane was over the hill years ago....

Are you serious?! Did you see them against Villarreal without him?! They are all over the kip without him, although he is not as techinacally gifted as he once was, he is still a huge presence and inspiration to his players, he is still their leader on the park.

Yep i am serious - he's so far over the hill he's at the bottom on the other side

Old, slow and still unable to tackle properly

Well, how come both club and country still rely on him greatly? He is a natural born leader, and as long as he has the desire to play he will be a world class player.

Same reason Phil Neville has 40+ caps - because people have really weird ideas about whats good and whats not, but also because they have no one else......

OK, why don't you come back to me when you have 40+ caps, or are the captain and leader of one of football's most famous sides and a hero in your home country, maybe you'll have an argument then.

Oh crap, Man United is back to its old self, dropping points...I'd say Chelski is 90% champions of England again, after only 7 matches.

I know you guys, in general, couldn't give a toss about the SPL but thats Hearts now won 8 games in a row after our victory against the current champions, Rangers. It just gets better and better.

Villa lost at Chelsea 2-1.. do we need to bother watching the rest of the season?

Looks like Chelsea are gonna run away with it again and until Keano's back in the side I can only see United droppin more points, damn shame we've lost so many of our players to injury so early in the season.

I'm delighted for them - its absolutely fantastic to see, and testament to what a good manager can do, and the effect the manager has on the team in the first place *cough* England *cough*

I would love to see Hearts win the league

Yeah because, if Villa can't beat them...............................

United, assuming they win their game in hand, are only four points off the pace. That's a loss and a draw, and United are ahead? Ahy? Now, don't get me wrong, Chelsea will probably win. But the fat lady is only just warming up, I believe.

I was not suggesting that the mighty Villa are the benchmark to beat Chelsea  Tongue

Chelsea 7 21
Charlton 6 15
Bolton 7 14
Tottenham 7 12
West Ham 6 11
Man Utd 6 11
Man City 7 11
Arsenal 6 10

Yes Man Utd are a game in hand, but 10 points behind already, and have some big injuries. Arsenal are looking dodgy. And Charlton, Bolton or Tottenham as good as it would be (well with the exception of Spurs  Tongue), I can't see them staying up there.

For probably the first time ever, I am hoping Man Utd win the league  Undecided

Anyway I hope the fat lady is only warming up..

Yeah but after a few years you stop feeling sorry for them..

I'll feel sorry for them in a few years though, when they are mid table and struggling in Glazier's debt ?Cheesy

Well, I don't think we'll sink as low as mid-table, but we may have troubles if we don't build up the squad, it's not as if we don't have the money!

mid table doesn't seem likely.....that would mean a whole load of teams would need to improve, unlikely -  this is the premiership after all!

i think last nights "battle of britain" is a perfect example of whats going wrong with the top teams in the premiership. horrible, horrible football. just about the only good englsih premier games are the ones involving teams in the bottom half.
