So, Isabel.
May I ask you which matches it is you choose to watch? Super Sunday and the Monday games? The Saturday evening games? Well, Match of the Day? The goals the next week on Football Focus? Or just read the reports in the paper?
To say that the quality of football is that bad is just ridiculous.
There have been some fantastic games this season. And yesterday, both West Brom
and
Southampton turned over top six contenders away, 1-4 and 1-3 respectivly.
Look how tight the race for the UEFA cup spots are...It's great
Of course teams are going to dominate. Aren't you
glad
that it's going to be three now, rather than two?
Ronnie O Sullivan is beyond dominating snooker at the moment, but does that make it boring? Fuck no. It makes it more interesting.
But, maybe you just watch your very own masterclass in inconsistency each week, and that alone?
Try and check out some of the other games.
Sigh.
I watched every premiership game this season thats been on tv with the exception of one or two matches. Some times i was in the pub, sometimes i was at home, sometimes i had the radio on too. I have even been at some of the games
I have seen so many 0-0 games that i began to question if scoring was still a part of modern football.
I have not been impressed with the quality at all.
But its just my view, if its electrified you this season then thats good
But Liverpool (in one of those rare 0-0 games) managed to get through - there will be an english team in the final, nice one lads!
I'd expect a Chelsea v Ac Milan final, but we'll have to see.

i have to agree. whilst there have been some cracking matches, watching english football has been getting pretty dire. teams like charlton, bolton and fulham play some of the most negative and uninteresting football i can imagine - and they're forced to cos its the best way to remain competitive. it's becoming a league full of pure athletes rather than footballers. As long as you can run full pelt for ninety minutes and defend you'll make your way into 15 of the 20 premiership clubs.
due to the structure of tv money hondouts and the european cup being accesible to the same 5 or 6 clubs every year the gap just gets wider and wider.

Every league has its boring mid-table teams, who aren't too threatened by relegation, but haven't got what it takes to get really high in the table, it's not just the Premier League

I hate this part of the season, it's so boring. Well, it is if you support a team who can't be promoted or relegated any more. It all seems so pointless to me, nothing to fight for. So I'm not going to bother following Swindon's fortunes until the beginning of next season
And we just had two 0-0 draws in a row, which is weird, 'cause before the first 0-0, against Bristol City mid-week, I think it had been something like 80 matches since the last one, and now they've gone and had two on the trot. Ah, sod it.

Well Congrats to Everton for taking 4th place, as a Liverpool fan thats hardly good news but as a fan of football its fantastic that a team that so awful (and c'mon they are) has done so well, helps make the league look competitive (though it isn't)

Maybe if teams with title challenging potential (like yourself) wern't so damn consistently inconsistent, then the league would be more competetive.
And, they haven't got fourth place...Yet.
If you win the Champions League, though, I'll piss my pants laughing.
Everton relegated to the UEFA? That would rule.

Yeah, seriously, that's what would happen!
England wouldn't be allowed five teams in the Champions League (come on, including those who have to 'qualify' against mickey mouse teams, even four is pushing it), and because the holders have to get automatic qualification to defend their title, fourth would go to the UEFA Cup.
Obviously, it wouldn't affect the UEFA places, and seventh would still qualify, because in terms of where everybody finishes it would just be as if Liverpool and Everton were switching around...Unless of course Liverpool drop out of the top seven...
Oh, and yeah, that game earlier...Bollocks. Ugh. Fuck off.

What would your England centre back pairing be?
Mine would be Terry and Ferdinand. I can't understand anyone who says Campbell shuld be ahead of either, they are both out of his leauge in my view

What? Fuck off.
Not only is that not funny in the context that you put it, but it is also the joke in the title of the thread. So you're a double idiot.
And, replying to yourself an hour later? Stop fucking spamming.
Anyway, I would probably go with Campbell and Ferdinand...
But, it actually depends who we were playing.
Ferdinand is a stayer whatever the weather, but I think Campbell and Terry respectivly would be better against different opposition.

Relax....I don`t follow soccer so I diddn`t get the joke.
I wouldn`t call you an idiot if you were clueless about baseball, for example.
By the way, I thought my joke might piss someone off so I replied to myself saying I was kidding around. Guess it diddn`t work, huh?

2 things.
1. I know shit about baseball, call me an idiot all you want. I'm not one, but do it anyway. I won't care.
2. Here's a tip: If nobody has replied to your post, just edit it.
It makes you look less of a prick than posting twice in a row.
Now, back on topic...
...Chelsea Liverpool just kicked off.

Well done Liverpool, although I don't think the goal was a goal but o well. I think if AC get through you'll get beat, still a great effort to get to the final!
