Liverpool United final, United to win.

That's where my money would be.

To be honest I can't see Chelsea conceeding tonight, and if Chelsea get to the final they will win it.

Leeds - Derby tonight, a draw would do for me as Derby have being doing well lately!

Bollocks.

I never thought that I would be really supporting Liverpool in a major final. But it looks like I'm going to be.

I'm glad Man Utd didn't get through - Dudeck makes a habit of helping them, i'm convinced he's being bribed, a goalkeeper doesn't make a horrendous mistake every time u play a certain team, year in year out.

Well, Chelsea will destroy us, but they are the better team so they fully deserve it.

Same here.

The "big" team Chelsea played Italian-style: defence, defence, defence and dumb luck. You would expect a little bit of Football from a team worth a lots of hundreds of dollars

Is that the team that's scored 11 more goals than you this season! Another team worth hundreds of millions!
U Chelsea bashers are I dunno what it is about you, you can't just admit that they're superb, u have to pick holes in em when there isn't any. R u saying you'd rather Man U scored loads and conceeded loads and came 2nd than won most games 1-0 and won the league. And apart from the early  season threy've scored freely, winning lots of games 3 or 4-0!

Yeah, seriously there is no point in criticising Chelski's play anymore - they are superb.  It's okay though, both Arsenal and Man U gained success on merit, so it doesn't matter how many titles Chelski win, we can always say that at least we didn't sell our dignity. ok

Anyways, i'm not that worried about Chelsea dominating England yet.  They've had a great year and we weren't prepared for that, but Arsenal never seem to do well after international tournaments anyway - it's why we always win the title every other year.  Next season when we've had a proper break we'll give them a damn good run for their money.

What a game.  Smiley

I would gather we all saw it, so surely there isn't much more to say or (in the top hatted ones case) complain about?

Very pleasing to the eye indeed - while i was obviously not rooting for Man Utd, credit where credit's due.

Arsenal's defence was shameful - they were far to far forward and no depth across the back, Ronaldo frequently had acres of space to himself

6 goals, a red card and clownish goalkeeping, it had it all

SWEET !!!   The gunners were gunned down!!!

Chelski are 99% champions, but I hope they'll get a good hammering when they come to Old Trafford!

Man, I can't fuckin wait for the Milan game!!

Nope, I have nothing to complain about.  We were stunning in the first half, but they earned the win in the second, no question.

Yeyey, another win. If Only Everton where to lose we might have a chance with that Champions league place.....

The defence is really a mess, we're just not keeping clean sheets any more which was how we used to get through.

Good to see Morientes bag another goal.

Oh no,

It's almost that time when we're subjected to an England game

I feel some kind of obligation to watch and support - yet England games are the most atrocious display of football ever

Sven is without doubt the worst manager in top flight football, no other manager takes 20 odd great players and gets them playing like conference sides

Can't wait to watch long balls, limited chances and injuries to all of Liverpool's players.

Was it the last England game where there was NOT ONE shot on target by England?

 rofl

What a great game! hihi

As if it was any surprise, Erikssen has to go - the players had no idea what they were doing and those hilarious substitutions

In 180 mins of international football England have managed two shots on target.

Uh huh, that was really terrible.  I think Sven had to go about a year or so ago, but now he's still here it's too late to get rid of him.  I can't understand why Downing didn't get more of a game, and why Johnson was put on the wing for 20 minutes.  The only thing Sven needed this friendly for was to learn whether those two players would be able to do a good job and, as always, we learned nothing during that game.

Sven just has a fetish for substitutions, he just has to make them, weird....

Thank god FIFA changed the rules specifically to stop him using 12 of them per match

What does he do to those players? They're all in the wrong positions and just resort to the long ball, can anybody think of a worse manager in professional football currently?

^Yes...

...At least, they would be at the international level.

Now I'm not a huge Sven fan, but you shouldn't think that replacing him is that easy. You just simply cannot say "Ahh brilliant, Alan Curbishly, Sam Alardyce, David Moyes etc, they rule at turning teams around! Give them the England job".

Look at what Keegan did when in charge.

I say give him the world cup to prove his worth. With the talent we have, we should at least reach the final. Hell, had one more decision gone our way in the final minutes of extra time, we could have won the Europeon Cup. If we don't reach at least the semi-finals of the world cup, then I'll be with the mob.

But replacing him at this stage would be a pretty stupid thing to do. Okay, so he is awful when it comes to friendlys, which I accept affects the learning process. But it is somewhat of a consolation given the competetive results he gets. He's lost three competetive games as England manager. That's quite a record.

But yeah...

Yesterday was awful, and had it been a qualifier I'd be asking for his head. But lets not lose sight of the fact that it was still a friendly. Yesterdays performance, as bad as it was, was nothing to be fired over.

Oh, and there would have been more shots on target had Jermain played.

Oh, and there would have been more shots on target had Jermain played.

I'd have had him on from the start

Fair enough u defend him because it was a friendly, but England have been woeful in the vast majority of Sven's games in charge, its not a one off, or even a band run. This is 4 years of rubbish football.

I'm not sure who could replace him, but i cannot honestly think of a professional manager that plays everyone out of position, deliberately orders his team to play the long ball and play defensively despite having the talent to do otherwise, and who picks players soley because of the team they play for - strange Heskey is no longer in the team following his move from Liverpool, just a coincidence? You can also add to that a fetish with substiutions and an inability to tell the team what they are supposed to do, or even where they should play.

If u can think of a professional manager who does that too (without mentioning Houllier, who isn't a professional manager any more, but is just as bad) then i will be surprised.

What is the point in these frendlies?

Sven wanted to see if Andy Johnson and Stuart Downing were England quality so why not start them and give them 90 instead of 20 or 30 minutes out of posistion.

We know Rooney and Owen are England class so why not start with Defoe and Johnson up top with Downing on the left, and maybe bring Owen and Rooney on later?

Beggars belief

It's because Sven is deranged.

He only plays people from top 4-5 teams, so if u play for Crystal Palace, u have no chance
