I'm not English, not even British, but I like the British and Irish teams, and it filled my heart with joy seeing David James taking a seat on the reserves bench.

It filled all our hearts with joy...now if only Sven can be sacked David James will disappear to the place other English goalkeeping *cough* stars *cough* have gone like Nigel Martyn, David Seamen etc etc....

He had a brilliant England career

Agreed.

Well, Villa just ended Chelsea's "100%" record. Only the Gooners with theirs intact now.

It was a good game actually, either team could have won. Lampard was off pace, which was to be expected, and once again Drogba didn't impress all that much, although saying that he didn't play that badly at all. Just he isn't looking like the asking price yet...

Spurs Norwich tommorow, looks like (not to be arrogant) our unbeaten start to the season will continue untill next week...

...When we play Chelsea.

Well, not much happened today really. Liverpool and Newcastle seemed to have good wins, MAn UTD scored in the last minute, Arsenal made another team look crap, AND DAVID HEALY SCORED! Grin

Spurs Norwich was shit.

We should have had a Championship side like them beaten in the first half.

Pretty boring match really.

Tell you what, Liverpool looked pretty promising last.  If they play their cards right, and Utd's form doesn't improve drastically, they could well come third this year.

Arsenal looked nervous (as always) on tuesday.  Always do in the Champions League, it's what's stopped us from progressing so often in the past.  Apparently, we're joint favourites to win the thing with Real Madrid!

Not too sure about this Bolton game on satarday - I predict a 2-2 draw.

A 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, I'm happy.  Smiley

It's not like we could have hoped for anything more, although we could have won it...

Well predicted.

Always good to do our neighbours a favour, by holding your nearest challengers to a draw as well...

The London derby comming up (the real London derby, the North London derby) is the most I've looked forward to the derby in ages. A seemingly invincible Arsenal side against a Spurs side on the rise? I predict a draw, maybe the same result as the end of last season. Although I plan on putting a lot of money on Spurs to win...

...If anyone in the league can beat you, it will be us (or Chelsea). It's just...meant to be.

That'll be a very interesting game.  I don't *think* we'll lose, but it's very possible.  Spurs are great up front and at the back, but I like to think our midfield will edge it over yours, as that is probably your weakest area.  2-1 Arsenal, i'll say.

Tell you what, i'd gladly swap Viera for King at the moment.  I have serious doubts about Viera's role in the team, and I think we may well have been better off without him.  When he plays, Arsenal's midfield looks rigid and structured, which makes us scrappy.  I was warming to Fabregas - when he plays, we're much more fluent and unpredictable, and can create chances anytime just from players making runs from midfield.  It's verging on total football - teams can't defend against it because they have no idea who they're supposed to be marking.  I know it's only been a couple of games, but our great form has dipped since Viera's return, when surely it should be the other way round.

Having said that, though, I think Viera will shine when we move to our new stadium in Ashburton Grove.  If we can keep up a similar level of form until then (only a year or two to go!), the space a bigger pitch with provide us with will be fantastic for Viera to play Henry and Reyes through.  I seriously can't wait!

Nah, Man U are crap now, sure they got Ferdinand back but their midfield is nothing like as good as it was a few years back, and Arsenal will continue to dominate!

Leeds v Swindon tonight!!

Come on you mighty Whites!!     ok

Glory glory Man United!!!

Finally, things are starting to look good. All you Arsenal fans should think that when Ferdinand started his ban your beloved gunners were second best in the league,a few points behind ManU

You can see the point surely though?
Having a key player back can really boost moral.
I'm sure you'd act the same if you lost Henry for a while. Saying that, maybe you'll get a boost when Sol Campbell comes back, possibly next week.

Although you seem to have done fine without Vierra...

...But we've discussed how less influential he has become recently already.

Now that Sol and Rio look both certain to be available for selection in our next qualifiers, it will be interesting to see how they feature.
Clearly they are both our first choice centre backs, but Ledley and Terry have done fantasticaly in their absence...
I wouldn't be suprised if Campebll and Terry played. Although I'd rather see us stick with the two we've used recently and then edge our first choices in later...

Oldham Spurs today. Anything worse than 4-0 and I'll be dissapointed. Mainly because our attack is fantastic, we just need to be scoring more goals.
