2-1 thank you, back into 4th place [ok]
problem is we picked up three injuries, and Nic the Greeks goal was simply superb. we should play him upfront cos he is shit in defence and the only good thing he does is score the odd goal. unfortunately today that goal was in the wrong net, even though it was prob his best ever goal

Well he did used to play for everton!
But i agree... once again Arsenal get lucky... and How campbell did not get booked for his tackle on Baros and Riise does i will never know.
Liverpool could not afford to lose that game and they didn't so they are hanging on in there by the skin of their teeth.
I HATE ALL ARSENAL PLAYERS... except for Pires as he is a touch of pure class

Meh, we should have killed Liverpool off way before they scored. Typical Arsenal.
Campbell should have been booked and...i'm unsure about Jeffers. I always thought of him as shit (no idea why Arsene has suddenly taken to playing him), but I never thought of him as a diver. I might give him the benefit of the doubt and suggest that maybe he just tripped over. It certainly wasn't a bookable offence, but why hate all Arsenal players just because of one questionable decision??
Also, Man U have had a huge amount of luck lately, with all these own goals, deflections and lucky offside decisions.
How you can think the title race is over is beyond me. After the Chelsea game we'll only be 2 points ahead.

Jeffers Dived like he was going for Gold.... im not saying i would not want RUUD to do the same but he dived. Unless he is made of paper.
I don't hate all arsenal players just coz that one incident, i've always hated them
not as bad as liverpool players though.
Hey c'mon man... if you look up arsenal in the dictionary there is a picture of the arsenal team:
Against West Brom a guy kicks it against a a player and it fall to Henry with 5 mins left.
Lucky Penalties.... Keown punching RUUD and Roberts.
What do UTD get..... Two penalties turned down at Middlesbough.... and their third goal was only due to the stupid offside rule

Like I said, I dunno if Jeffers dived. If he did, then...well, I already thought he was a cunt, so I dunno what that makes him now. Maybe a very wide cunt. Whatever.
In terms of luck, we get some, but lately Man U have got a LOT. Not even we've had goalkeepers let the ball bobble through his legs right in front of our striker.
Here's a vaguely interesting story: Around Christmas time in 1998, I went to a pub to see Arsenal play Blackburn. We were absolutely terrible, and lost 3-1, putting us around 18 points behind Man U. Me and my dad were feeling low, and then this random bloke who'd been sitting next to us said "This isn't over. As long as you're in the top 6 at the Christmas period, you're still in with a good shot."
Then we went on a record-breaking run of wins, and ended up winning the double with one premiership game to spare.
This season is over already? You've gotta be kidding me!

Thats a Mistake not luck. If he had kicked it against his own defender and rolled to forlan with a open goal then yeah thats luck.
Ok the title is not 'over' but Arsenal still have to drop a hell of a lot of points. No team will put together 10 wins in a row this season coz teams are getting stronger.
For Man Utd to win the title we will have to beat Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal whenever we play them and lose only one or two matches more all season

Yeah, man u are lucky bastards, late equaliser, then an even later winner, football games should be 80 minutes long, then man u would get relgated for sure [hihi].
I never thought i'd heaar myself say this, but I would rather Arsenal or even Newcastle[confused] win the league now.
We're third bottom, and the closest four teams to us aall have a game in hand, basically, we're fucked.
I still think Man U will win the title, followed by Arsenal and Newcstle (sod's law...newcastle will finish third, we'll finish third bottom). Howard wilkinson, is crap, i know he's had a lot of injuries to deal with, but, come on, we've won like two games since he took over, can you get any crapper

Lucky!!! haha.
32 shots on Goal
20 on target
vs
3 shots on goal
1 on target
I think we deserved it.... Both goals were excellent goals.
Its more than i can say for Newcastle who have to use deflections to get a win over crappy liverpool.
In the Premier league you have to play for 95 mins and thats what UTD did sunderland went their to defend and got what they deserved.
Arsenal deserved to beat Chelsea and never were gonna lose the game IMO.... although a own goal after 7 mins is typical arsenal.
Man Utd will never catch arsenal unless we beat them at Highbury and only lose one more match all year.

so you are saying we were lucky? hahahaha, i dont think so we killed them, liverpool were absolutely shite yet again houllier changed half his team around, i'm begining to think the bloke has lost it
as for our 'lucky' goal, a goal is a goal as far as i'm concerned and it won us the match. we deserved to win but if you think we were lucky then fair enough, even you lot will need some luck if you are to win the title this season! i would agree with you if we didnt look like winning the game but liverpool never threatened.
oh nearly forgot, Sunderland [rofl]

I totally agree... you deserved to win, but i don't think you played well really it was a boring match for me. and even more so when Diao got sent off coz it was over then. Someone called Man Utd lucky and i was making the point that if we were lucky then newcastle have to be the luckiest team in the world
Oh and Sunderland haha
I heard howard wilkinson fell unconious in the high street the other day so they dragged him in a bank and sat him down when he woke he said "where am i?" the lady replied "in the nationwide howard" and then Howard said " What Already" [rofl]

no i agree we weren't great but we played alot better than the scousers. what i'm saying is, usually if we go into the last 10 minutes with a one goal lead, i'm shittin it that we will let a goal or two in, last night i wasn't...................... much!

Ok i know its early doors but who do you guys think will get Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year
IMO Player of the Year goes to.... Alan Shearer.
Some people (not me i might add) were writing him off 16 months ago, and now look. Top Goal Scorer in the league and a defenders nightmare.
Young Player Of The Year: Not sure on this one Either Wayne Rooney or John O'shea for me. I thinik Rooney will get it but i think Oshea deserves it. Rooney can have it next year [yes]

I think maybe u may have overlooked James Milner, he looks omething else as well, although he only really appeared just before Christmas......
The future of England looks extremely bright, so lets set the team.
Goal - Kirkland/Robinson - cant decide both awesome
Defence - Rio, Michael Dawson - Build round them.
Midfield - Milner, Prutton, Jenas, Beckham
Attack - Roonaldo, Owen(when he actually fucking scores, i hope he isnt included in the next squad cus he has been pooh.)
So build the rest of the team around that and there u have it.
Oh and the best Goalkeeper in the league at the moment, goes to Jurgen Macho, what a fucking performance.
ps, carlo cudicini will be legible to play for England in 2005 as he will be then allowed and english passport, bearing in mind he has only played for Italy at Friendly level.

I'm with GnrFan, player of the season is totally Shearer. I never wrote him off.
England's future team
does
look pretty good.
Keeper: Robinson
Defence: Rio, Woodgate, A. Cole, (spot open for right back).
Midfield: Gerrard, Beckham, Pennant, (spot open for centre mid).
Forwards: Rooney, Owen (if Owen gets better).

so far i would have to agree in fullness that Mr Shearer is my player of the season.
i wouldnt put rooney as young player. maybe o'shea took his chance well, not really seen much of him, but to hol a place in the man u team you must be something
as for the space in midfeild Danny, Jenas will fill that, if this kid doesnt make the full england team, i'lll ...... i'll well i'll eat my hat.
oh and for anyone interested it looks like we may have a new defender by feburary, had a ?10 million bid for Woodgate turned down, reports now that we may be after Daniel van Buyten from Marseille! if that fails there are unconfermed reports we are after Phil Babb with a ?8 million bid on the table!
