In reply to Izzy....
Aye balls! Not only do Norwich have an Irish man as a manager, they have Phil Mulryne and Paul McVeigh. No way they're going down.
Seriously, Nigel is one of the best managers around, they have a relegation battle on for sure, but he runs a tight ship. Either them or Palace will stay up.
Never write off an Irishman!
I think Newcastle will do well this season, maybe grab 4th. Liverpool will bore as usual, Man Utd will bounce back, and Arsenal will win Champions League. Chelsea will move to Russia, with Arsenal and Liverpool and winning joint French team of the season.

Your right - they are doomed

Hey! Houllier is gone - we have Rafa in charge now - Heskey is dead and Dioud and Diao are on their way to a zoo in Senegal, we will be playing good football and with Cisse we can atleast threaten to score goals

Palace fan here, looking forward to the new season with a 6 pointer - Norwich and Everton to start with. Heres hoping we can bring in those 4-5 players we`re still after before next weekend.

Let's hope. If they can push the top 3 teams of last year, this will be an amazing season. Diouf was the worst player I've ever seen. Wait, Heskey. Heskey and Diouf.
Norwich have got your wee man Bentley from Arsenal for a season, that could be interesting.
Palace will rule. I hope Hughes gets a good run this season. We need him in good form for England in March. You guys are gonna get some abuse if we manage to beat you.

I'm sure you could persuade Gerrard to leave Liverpool
I'd take Maniche any day.
We have just bought a French U-21 defensive midfielder, so maayyybbeee Arsene can merge him into the next Viera.? I wouldn't care if Gilberto were dropped - now that Viera's gone, he's not gonna be able to get away with the lazy form of the past two seasons.
Now here's a question that some Man U/Spurs fan is gonna get right, just to make me look stupid.? The answer's on the tip of my tongue, but I can't quite remember:?
Who played centre midfield with Viera between the days of Petit and Gilberto?
In regards to the England post, Wenger and Ferguson would both be amazing, but neither of them are gonna happen.? Both are too loyal to their club teams (and damn right too, Arsene).? That's why Martin O' Neil, the third best manager in Britain, is the best choice.
The midfield usually consisted of:
Overmars Petit Vieria Parlour

I think Danny meant who played with Viera after Petit had left but before Gilberto arrived - i can only think of Ray Parlour, it must have been him

Looks like ?11 mill Diouf is off to Malaga - really shame that, he's clearly a good player but under Houllier's system and playing out of position (a striker at right wing
) he never had a chance to show what he could do.
Looks like Baros might be off too - no great loss
I hope we have a few more signings coming in - Cisse looks dynamite but we need more

Getting pretty hyped about tomorrow's charity shield game. Hopefully Jeffers will kick someone again.
Always good to play Man Utd...

Is it on normal TV? Arron is setting off to Cardiff tomorrow to watch it.
And we WERE discussing David Healy, so shut up!

No, you shut up.
AAANNNYYYway - kicked some ass yesterday, yo. Reyes, Bergkamp, Fabrigas and Clichy all looked excellent, and we completely ran them off the pitch. Managed to watch the game three times yesterday, including BBC1's re-run of the whole game at 1 in the morning.

Yes, i think that's the reason
But this season we're going to be better!
Owen's still holding the club to ransom - he claim's it's not about money but rather on playing for a team with ambition - we even let him choose the manager, what more does he want?

?10million plus Morientes?! What kind of crack were Madrid smoking when they considered that??

Charlton have signed Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy for ?2.5m on a four-year contract.
Lee Hughes has been jailed for 6 years.
Fuck sake! He was allowed to play all last season, Ferdidand was banned for missing a drugs test. A murderer has the right to play ahead of someone who forgot an appointment, it's balls.
Bye Lee.

Sad to see - he always scored against Man Utd - by Liverpool needed a shake-up and i'm glad that seems to be happening - Liverpool were stale.
Breaking news Liverpool launch an 11 mill bid for Xabi Alonso - he's supposed to be phen-ome-neal so this could be an awesome signing
As for Owen - he can fuck off, we have Cisse

If i was Liverpool's boss that deal would be done and dusted by now! Morientes is a class act - and 10 million too - great stuff!
