Martin O'Neil i suppose, though i can't see that happening, and i remain to be convinced of his ability, winning the Scottish league with Celtic is something i would expect the most junior manager to be able to pull off....
First you have a go at Healy, now O'Neil? That's just plain disrespectful, and I will not tolerate it.

Keep that up and u'll be tastin' the back of me hand!
Liverpool are a vast club (and the most successful British team - fuck u Man Utd)
Maybe with a good manager and a bit of spending we could be challenging for the league next year........

Looks like Chelsea are about to buy Roberto Carlos for 20 mill
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH THEM?
He's 31!!!!!
To be he's a great player to watch and why Real Madrid would want to part with him is beyond me but ?20 mill for a 31 year old defender who could never defend?

Crazy huh! I couldn't believe it when I saw it. WHY!?
I think Roman Abramovich is playing one real life game of Championship Manager with all his millions!

If I had ?10bil to spare, I would spend ?20mil on Roberto Carlos. It isn't fair that a team gets all this money to spend, when they have not done anything to earn it!
I would love to sign Morrientes, but i'm sure Chelski can afford to pay him triple what we're offering to get him. Bastards.
I think O' Neil would be perfect for the Liverpool job. Sure it's a risk, but so was Arsene. He proved that he was a great manager with Leicester, and then he moved to Celtic and transformed them from clearly the second best team in Scotland to clearly the best. Give him something he's never had before (money and world class players), and he'll do something really special.

At first Houllier's sacking was a shock, but now i am realise just how glad i am
The amount of players he arrested the devlopment of - how much better would Owen have been under Arsene Wenger? How many goals would he have scored under a better style of play that didn't leave him stranded up front?
We have such talent in the squad and Houllier just blew it - what the hell happned to Kewel this season?
I still believe we have a fine sqaud its just that Houllier was never getting the best out of any of them, Diouf is a fine player but Houllier stuck him in midfield! Players like Tellec, Pongolle, Baros and Kirkland have such potential and I hope who ever takes ever allows them to develop.
Martin O'Neil is yet to comment - hopefully he is on his way - but hopefully he doesn't bring any Celtic players with him!

He'll bring Lennon with him.
And hopefully he'll be back playing for his country.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
My biggest fear would be that he would bring Chris Sutton in.....oh the humanity!
I notice today that the Porto manager can actually speak English - he has a distinct advantage over his rivals

You really do have something against the Irish.

Yeah, but he has to converse with people from Liverpool. Not an easy task, whatever language you speak.

Proving that u don't have to be stupid to work for Liverpool FC but it helps the board have decided on their own accord to buy Cisse for ?14 million - without a new manager even being appraoched yet
Now Cisse seems a fine player (top scorer in the French league for 3 years running) however i think a manager should be in place first before any signings take place - he may have his own ideas on who he wants to play and buy - ?14 million will take alot out of the transfer kitty and we need a lot of new players.....
Also it looks as if the Premierships worst striker Alan Smith is set to prove just how devoted he was to Leeds by signing with arch rivals Man Utd. Smith is awful - 5 goals a season, hell thats worse than Heskey! Being a Liverpool fan i always like to see Man Utd waste their money on crap - Ferdinand, Veron, Kleberson, Bellion, Bartez etc etc

I see Heskey has been out talking about how Houllier had his chance and that his time was up..
I think Heskey should be thankful that Houllier was manager for so long! Any other manager would have sent him off to the blue nose scum MUCH earlier..
Izzy.. Alan Smith isn't GREAT.. but at least you've got rid of Heskey, 5 goals Alan Smith will play crap for Man U, and Villa are still stuck with Peter Crouch

5 goals? He scores more than that, doesn't he?
Anyway, I do think he's very average, and hopefully will be another Forlan. They already have a great predetor - surely what they need now is an inventive striker who can create them? A young Bergkamp or an Angel would be better.

What you have to remember is, he's still quite young, and his last two years of football have been for a pretty poor side.
I can't see Man Utd using him often, but I'm sure they haven't bought him on his reputation alone........... Who said Kleberson?

Not really sure how Man Utd need to turn things around but another striker (and an especially bad one at that) is not the answer...their buying a load of weird players from the French league at the mo - well good luck with that
Still no word on a new Liverpool manager - maybe we're just not going to get one (our best league finish in ten years was the season Phil Tompson the assistant manager ran the show while Houllier recovered from his heart probs - we finished second)
Mourinho looks like he's about to take over at Chelsea, i really am worried Ranieri is coming to Liverpool - that would be awful, the mans clueless.

Congratulations to Crystal Palace and their return to the Premiership. Good luck in the forthcoming season - except in games against Liverpool
