Nah, you want Beattie and Rooney up front with Scholes just behind them. Owen can sit on the bench.
Heskey can sit at home with Rio and any other players the FA decide to shit on because they forget something.

No no no.
You want Beattie and Scholsey up front with
Rooney
playing just behind them. And then I would put Smith on in the second half (Well, I definatly would put him on if his temper wasn't so bad...), replacing the shitter of the two.
I think that the boy has great potential.
It would be great to see Scholes as an out and out attacker, at least for one match, to see how he handles it.

Beattie is stronger, better in the air, a better finisher, can shoot from outside the area and scores more goals. Owen is fast, and has a reputation. That's all he's really got going for him.
Sorry but the stats don't lie, Owen is a better finisher and scores more goals too, perhaps Beattie is stronger...but Heskey is even stronger than him...and that doesn't make Heskey good.
I agree Beattie should partner Owen upfront because Beattie is a good player (with Rooney playing behind), however your 'attacks' on Owen seem to be more to do with a hatred of him as an Arsenal fan rather than a rational argument.

I'm not an Arsenal fan, but I still think Owen isn't as good as Rooney or Beattie. When is he good, is is brilliant, but when he isn't (which is most of the time) he's just an another player who can't score.
On top of that, he's got a really,
really
boring voice.

Why would my being an Arsenal fan make me hate Owen? The only teams I have a problem with are Utd, Spurs and Leeds. Oh, and Chelski, because they don't deserve to be where they are now.
Stats do lie. They lie all the time. I don't read stats.
Also, what Miz said. Owen goes through spells of being good but, most of the time, he's average at best. Beattie is much more consistent.

Okay if u honestly want to believe Beattie is a better player than Owen so be it, it doesn't change the reality. Owen is not always on top form however his 'average' is about 10 times more deadly than most peoples 'top form'.
If Owen does experience any average form it is forced on him by a lack of service at Liverpool where the poor guy has to drop into midfield to create his own chances!

Yeah whatever.............Beattie is the best thing ever hence all those people trying to buy him, oh wait.
Well done to England for their efforts, poor Becks gotta feel for him slipping on the way to take that penalty!
Amazing how many penalties England get....some one must be looking out for the team.....

Have you actually seen Owen play this season?
If Beattie had his chances, he'd be the leagues top goalscorer, no problem.
Anyhoo....
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/3213059.stm
Manchester United may have signed the "wrong" Kleberson after a scouting mix-up (Daily Express and Daily Star).
Express says:
The scout went to Brazil to watch Keberson and filed his report about another player who played on the right wing he thought was Kleberson. Although its no doubt we have Kleberson World Cup Winner we bought him on the strength of this other players performance.
Whoops!

Anyone counting the number of penalties Shearer has taken this season? Who needs to spend millions in the transfer market when u manage to get so many penalties? Not that i would dream of suggesting foul play was involved....er....but the point remains Newcastle must be on their way to a record number of penalties i mean 2 in just one week is pretty good going........

Leeds posting record losses for this finacial year, doesn't look good for them, especailly with the hovering over the relegation zone, if they were to go down i think its a pretty forgone conclusion they would fold, how the mighty have fallen. Apparently despite half the time being sold the wage bill has INCREASED by 3 million, exactly how that is possible when all the players that left where on 40k a week.......

Hmm, Leeds are quite poor, we need to sack Reid and get Paul Hart. 6-1 to Portsmouth, BRING BACK THE BIRCH!!!! Smith is now startin to go forward and score goals, but what good are they if we conceed 6 to average sides like Portsmouth!

They have money to spend. ?10mil is nothing for them.
Dear God, I would love to sign Angel. I doubt he'll wanna play for us now though, after what happened when we played Villa...
