Too late, you started it.

Ruud was hardly innocent.  He and that pathetic loser Ronaldo were diving all over the place for the whole game.

Ref couldn't have got the Viera thing any better.  Not a straight red, cause he was nowhere near him and didn't intend to hit him at all.  However, he deserved a second yellow for being a stupid prat.  Ruud should have gone too - one for the challenge and one for the dives.

Ronaldo should have gone for being an ugly, arrogant, stuck-up-his-own-arse cheat.

I don't think it was a penalty.  Maybe not a dive, i'm unsure about that, but I just think they both went tumbling in for the ball, and both ended on the ground.  The end.

Anyway, the penalty was funny.  Come on!!

Our behaviour after the game was a complete disgrace.  No defending that.  Except...it was kinda funny as well!

Ronaldo Diving? I think not. Just not one of Arsenals players could deal with him.

Diving is Robert Pires Falling over... after kicking another player. Not ronaldo skinning cole and vieria and them tripping him up.

Van Nistelrooy diving... hahaha. I watched the game again today after reading this post and he did not dive once all game. He moved from a stupid french cunt trying to kick him after a foul which i thought the booking was harsh. Next time maybe he should let him kick him Roll Eyes

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

As it happens i think Arsenal did what they came to do and Defend and they did it well. And probally deserved the draw.

I just think Arsene Wenger can't control his players.

Keown is a Cunt . .. . . . last time he punched van nistelrooy and this time he clotheslines him. WHAT A PROFESSIONAL?

I didn't think it was a penalty but usually keown would be in the refs face if he thought it wasn't so it probally was.

What happened after the match was a disgrace. But typical arsenal IMO... always think they are hard done by.

So yeah Vieria gets sent off but he gets to commit 4 fouls to get the first yellow... as guess what roy keane 1st tackle... and guess what BOOKING. Does Keane and Fergie cry about it Hell NO!

Arsenal are not hard done by its just their players have no disipline and are a dirty side.

I mean the Divers arsenal has is endless.... Pires, Jeffers, Lauren, Edu, Cole, Bergkamp and more too im sure.

Its just stupid coz if Ruud Van Nistelrooy had stooped to the level of Keown, Lauren, Cole, Vieria and Parlour then it would have been a full out brawl which would have got both sides points deduction.

The Facts Of the Situation

Although in the past Van Nistelrooy has gone down easily he did not dive once in this match

Arsenal deserved to end up 10 vs 11

Arsenal Deserved their Point

Vieria reaction was to nothing more than a foul by Van Nistelrooy and after was sent off tried to attack Van Nistelrooy. . . . . For the second time in 5 minutes

Keown Hit Van Nistelrooy..... AGAIN!!!!!

Arsenal Players attacked Van Nistelrooy after the Whistle. To Which Van Nistelrooy just Walked away and i thought that was great.

Lauren attacked Giggs when giggs tried to seperate Van Niselrooy and Keown

Keown did not think Van Nistelrooy had done anything wrong and Even tried to pull him away from the Vieria incident. But then when he saw the fuss that typically Cole and Vieria made thought he better make a fuss to.

The Only Two Players that i saw not trying to cause a fuss were Toure (who i thought was great on the day) and Gilberto.

Ronaldo Had cole on his arse in the first 5 minutes hahaha.

United were the only side trying to win the game.

If United had fought back it would have been a brawl which would have cost both teams

Arsene Wenger can't blame a reaction by Van Nistelrooy for his players Stupidity (its not like he went down or anything)

Maybe Arsene Wenger should look closer to home before calling someone else's player a diver or dishonest (pires and Cole especially)

Arsenal are not cheated by the FA and the referees... their just dirty the disiplinary record speaks for itself. It just so happens they are a great side too so they feel the pressure of supsensions. JUST GET ON WITH IT ! ! ! !

Vierias reaction could have been a straight red

The ref had a good game... the only slightly bad decison was the penalty IMO

The Penalty could have been taken again under the new guidelines

DTH is still as Biased as Ever Grin Grin

The Final score was 0-0

So what to do about Arsenal. Heres the Choices

Points Deduction:

Why Not. Its only United that stopped the situation becoming in that teritory. Arsenals players were a disgrace from 75 minutes to the time the Arsenal coach left Old Trafford.

Personally i think this would be harsh but i think its possible coz this Arsenal behaviour has to be stamped out.

The other problem is how many points do they deduct. 5 points is standard but thats alot of points so early on in the season... it would drop Arsenal like 6 places in the table.

6 points plus what is earned in the game is the rules in Italy and Spain... But that would be 7 points and surely be very Harsh.

Suspension Of Players & Caution

This is what i would do... Cole, Lauren, Keown and Parlour should all serve 3 match bans and be fined a sum of money

Vieria should also serve a 3 match ban plus his suspension he picked up for getting the yellow card.

The whole of Arsenal football club should be put on warning that another incident like this and they will be deducted points or pulled out of competitions like the FA cup and European Cups.

Are the FA Brave Enough

After Wengers moaning for the last 3 years will they have the guts and do what is right and punish Arsenal... I doubt it coz if they do then Arsene Wenger might cry.
-------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------

I loved it when Arsne Wenger got up to complain again. and the united fans started to chant:

Sit Down You French Frog

That had all my mates even arsenal fans laughing

I'm not biased at all.  Hell, I actually agree with most of that!

Come on, Ronaldo dives all over the place.  And sure, the boy has some speed and skill, but he could do with growing a brain or something.  He can't pass, and he's butt ugly, which means I hate him.

French frog?  Aah of course, there's that Man Utds racism coming into it again. Wink

Points deducted would be very, very harsh.  I've seen much worse "brawls" than that.  Keown should be fined and Viera suspended, that's it.

Pires and Lauren dive.  Cole doesn't, he's just a wanker.  Dunno about Edu, cause he's useless anyway.  Jeffers doesn't play for us anymore, and good riddence too.

Was worth it to see Keown attack Ruud anyway.  Will never get sick of watching that. Grin

lol, I'll be honest...As much as it annoyed me, the brawling was fun to watch.

Even if it angered me to know end.

Something I thought was funny...

After the penalty was awarded...

All you saw on the screen was the keeper in the centre, Lehmen on his left, and then you just saw Fortune charge and basicaly rugby takle him just slightly off screen.

That was kinda funny, and I was suprised that he wasn't penalised.

I'm looking forward to Highbury...

give me one example of Ronaldo going down without being touched... there was not one.

He had the beating of Cole all day and i'm not saying arsenals fouls were dirty coz they weren't he was just too quick for them.

He has a great football brain and can deliver a fantastic cross and lets just remember hes only 18... even giggs was critised at 18.
Points deducted would be very, very harsh.  I've seen much worse "brawls" than that.  Keown should be fined and Viera suspended, that's it

It wasn't a brawl mate... and do you know why coz Man Utd did not become thugs like the arsenal players. If Van Nistelrooy had fought back then it would have been a brawl that would have led to points being deducted.

Maybe its the only way arsenal will learn!!!

Pires and Lauren dive.  Cole doesn't, he's just a wanker.  Dunno about Edu, cause he's useless anyway.  Jeffers doesn't play for us anymore, and good riddence too.

Coles the worst of the lot and bergkamp isn't innocent. I don't know a team with so many divers. Henry has got so much better and i congratulate him but hes in the minority in Arsenal now.

I heard Arsene Wenger hit the deck when Van Nistelrooy fouled Vieria rofl rofl

Van Nistelrooy NEVER goes down without being touched and NEVER rolls around on the ground likle Cole, Lauren, Bergkamp and Pires.

He may go down if he feels someone push him in the back but thats their fault for pushing him. All four of the players above and Jeffers go down without being touched.... Now thats what i call Diving

Was worth it to see Keown attack Ruud anyway.  Will never get sick of watching that. Grin

This is the excuse for the Arsenal fans that can't defend Keown. And instead of being big enough to just say can't defend him in anyway they say its funny.

He punched Van Nistelrooy last time and got banned for 3 matches... he obviously didn't learn so i think a 10 match ban should do it this time.... lets see if he learns after that.

_____________________________________________________________

Every Arsenal player that attacked RUUD (Lauren, Parlour, Vieria, Keown and Cole) should all be banned for at least 3 matches.

And that would be generous IMO

Fines are pointless

I hope keown gets crippled next week... exactly what he deserves.

Its interesting that no one from Arsenal playing staff have apoligised . . . . . STILL!!!

Disgraceful

Get over yourself.

Its not a case of that my friend

Its a case that at last arsenal have to admit to being WRONG!

I wanna hear Wenger say it. They are a dirty side and they are not discriminated against

Blackburn hardly impressed in the UEFA cup they got a mammoth task at home next week....

but my team, Liverpool proved what a wold class team they are with an inspiring 1-1 draw with some...er.....Slovakian team. Hugely disappointing but we played badly in the first few rounds when we won it in 2001 so here's to hoping.......

Owen breaking Ian Rush's european record was good to see, if we fail this season it won't be because of Micky Owen.

I've already said we were wrong.  I didn't even admit it, I just said it.

Wenger has apologised.  Granted, it wasn't much of an apology, but he's done it.  Of course he's not gonna say we're a dirty team, that's ridiculous.  Did Fergie say Roy Keane was a dirty player when he deliberately put that Leeds player out of action?  Of course not!

I've seen much worse behaviour in games than Arsenal's.  If we have points dropped (which I don't think will happen), it'll just be the FA trying to make an example out of us.  Again.

I don't even count Wengers apology. Half hearted as far as i'm concerned.

The difference between Keane and Vieira is that Keane walks when shown a red not run after the victim (RUUD) and try and claim he cheated when he obviously didn't.

And then Manchester United Players don't attack Harland at the end of the match like THUGS.

Keane is no angel and some tackles have been aweful but Keane has never chased the player after he was sent off. Keane used to be a dirty player up to about 2 or 3 years ago but now hes changed.

and i'm not saying Vieria is a dirty player but Arsenal as a team are a dirty side and the moaning that goes on by Arsenal is unwarrented.

What about Utd we were made examples before Arsenal ever were Keane used to get sent off for any tackle he commited and Cantona was kicked around so much and never got anything.

But we don't moan about it over and over and over again.

I agree dropping points would be harsh but i maintain that its only coz Utd did not fight back that points won't be deducted and i hope all players that have been caught fighting including Man Utd players all get a 5 match ban

No, 3 match bans, as would usually happen.  Just because it was a big game, doesn't mean the FA have to act any differently.

Of course he has.  Granted, I can't think of any examples at the minute, but you can't seriously deny that.  He's shouted at refs, pushed players around and lashed out just like most players.

So has Viera.  The Utd game aside, his discipline has improved loads, and i'm sure he'll reform and start walking out of World Cups too when he's Keane's age.

No, neither do I.  But then, I don't remember Fergie apologising at all after the Haaland thing, and I don't remember expecting him to either.

Credit to Ruud, btw.  That second goal on satarday was very impressive.

Keown should get a 5 or 6 match ban IMO coz he did this in the same fixture last year and got a ban... He obviously has not learned his lesson so the ban should be doubled until he does learn... if he understands what the words 'Decent Human Being' mean

Keane has never chased after players. Bad tackles yes but once the red card is shown he's off down the tunnel.... he does not chase players especially when he is in the wrong like Vieria was.

I recall Roy Keane chasing a referee across the pitch screaming in his face, just cos he didn't like the decision that was made...that is worse in my opinion.

Oh come on, are you listening to yourself?  Decent human being?  At least Keown doesn't cripple players intentionally.

You must know how dramatically you're exaggerating all this, right?  Please, surely you must!

See?  Now you've contradicted yourself.  How can it be 'especially', if he's never chased after players?

Difference between Viera and Keane = Viera would never do what Keane did to Haaland.  He lashes out, but he does not plan an attack.

Did you see the penalty in Utd's midweek Champions league defeat?  Yeah, that one.

He's a brat and a cheat.

Also, I find it amusing that Giggs is saying that he'd never celebrate a draw with Arsenal.  That's odd, cause he seemed pretty damn happy about it in May! Grin

Great win for us today.  Not totally sure that we deserved it, but apparently we played better in the second half (I only saw the first).  Nice to see Pires have a good game for once, as well.

Danny, here's the deal:

I'll admit Pires' goal was pretty good, if you admit that Kanoute's was absoloutly fucking amazing.

Great result for Spurs.  Smiley

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Owen, I'm not really too bothered.

I am still a firm believer that we need someone with pace like Owne or Rooney upfront, with Scholes playing just behind them.

Love to see Scholes in an attacking role, but not too far up that he wouldn't be able to continue his midfield duties.

Rooney acted like a twat against us today, and lost his temper far too easily. If he is going to act like that in Turkey, he can be the kid serving the drinks to the real players for all I fucking care.
The least we need is someone sent off...

But hey, it's in the scipt. One of our players will be shown red.

It's in the script that Rooney will be sent off.  I'm picturing the headlines as I type.

Used, deal.  Kanoute's goal was fecking awesome!

Liverpool lost because they didn't score as many goals as Arsenal.

Couldn't care less about Owen.  We should play Beattie, he's much better.

Beattie better than Owen, i love the comments on this thread! I would be intrested to see some evidence that supports a claim Owen is inferior to James Beattie.....if it exists....oh wait it doesn't.

Just because Beattie got more League goals that Owen last year doesn't make him better. Owen scored more goals overal than Beattie last year and has outscored him in league goals and other goals in every other season.

Check the stats Owen has a better finishing rate/shots on target rate/ goals/assists etc.

Beattie is stronger, better in the air, a better finisher, can shoot from outside the area and scores more goals.  Owen is fast, and has a reputation.  That's all he's really got going for him.

It's dead important that Beattie scored more league goals last season.  Of course it is, we need a goalscorer.  You can't judge them by who scored the most overall, cause Southampton didn't play in Europe, so it's not fair.

If Beattie played for a bigger club, he would suddenly be looked at as a much better player (a bit like Duff is now).

In my team, we'd have Beattie and Owen up front, with Rooney playing just behind them.  Kick Heskey out of the team.
