Seeing Alan Smith today reminded me that he's not the player he was before that horrble injury, and probably never will be
hes never going to be the player he was once hes playing with newcastle, theyr rubbish, and hes been fucked around with his position again, midfield one day and upfront the next which wont help him

I was cheering Spurs on today, glad to see them win. The goal apart Chelsea created nothing all game.

Madrid got owned yesterday by Getafe.
Robben's disallowed effort in the 64th minute - correctly cancelled out for offside from Raul - took Robben, Drenthe, Gago, Van Nistelrooy and others an eternity to see the linesman's flag raised. They were celebrating right in front of him, but nobody saw it!
The relief of having broken the deadlock unleashed pandemonium amongst the players, especially the hilariously expressive Robben, who felt they were on the way to winning a 19th consecutive league match at home. It wasn't to be.
Belenguer swiftly took the free-kick, having noticed Real Madrid's extended and lavish celebration, and launched the counter attack led by Casquero. Predictably the ball ended up in the back of the net courtesy of Uche.
Really funny.

Well, Real got away another 3 points. Barca could not win even though the incredible Goal by Ronaldinho. What a great afternoon of football. Robinho scored two goals , may I add , two great goals as well as the last free kick for Recreativo. La Liga is definitely getting better and better with each fixture..

La Liga is filled with naive defenders that allow such great goals to happen...that's why it's great for the casual football fan

I disagree buddy, I m not a casual Football fan at all , and I can tell you that La Liga has the same class and technique than any other league including the premier. Naive defenders?? Well , If Cannavaro, Puyol, Perea, Milito, Ramos, Mosquera , Alves among others are naive in your opinion.. well, I'd like to know who do you think it's not..

Uuu, you started calling it Football, a good start ! No offense, but based on your comments, you do seem like a casual fan, or a guy that started watching it seriously a few months ago and thinks he knows everything

uu, no offense either to you, But you sound like someone who thinks that knows it all and more than anybody else. As far as I see, nothing has shown me , based on your comments, The great football knowledge you claim to have.
on topic, another champions league day. I m fu.. pissed and sad about Messi's injury, I hope it's not as bad as it looks. It was said It could be 3 weeks before he can come back. I m happy Manchester went trough . And also surprised with the elimination of Milan. Fabregas Played one of the best games I ve seen from him. Tomorrow Real- Roma.

Well you got me there, I do think I know more about the beautiful game, not than anybody else, but than most people.
On topic now, sloppy superficial attacking game by United last night, they should had scored more... luckily Lyon didn't have the muscle to threaten Edwin's goal

For United, it was one of those games when everything that could go wrong did...they were denied a clear penalty and later one was awarded against them witch wasn't so clear (not to mention the ridiculous red card), and they missed tons of chances...luckily the Arsenal kids are starting to buckle under pressure...

dude, i can be the most biased of udt fans at times, but there was no doubt that that was a stone wall penalty even more so than the ronaldo one, the keeper didnt intentionally bring him down but he still brought him down none the less

Yes, but getting a red card because the attacker tripped on your head??
The thing that worried me the most is that the team doesn't seem to have carracter, and leaders...after the penalty they stopped playing have true the good football they did up until then, and the last 15 minutes were a joke...sure, it's hard finding yourself down to 10 men and at 0-1, but if a Roy Keane was on the pitch, I'm sure United would had at least push hard for an equaliser

he was denied a clear goalscoring opportunity, yed rooney was on the line but i doubt it would have mattered, but you said it wasnt a clear penalty which is what i disagreed with
after they scored they took Krankjaer (sp) off and went even more defensive than they already were, im not worried on another we would have scored 5 or 6, it just wasnt to be
