He wasn't as high up as Viduka but thats only because Viduka couldn't b arsed moving!
It was Smith's work rate that took him all over the pitch!

OK,to put an end to this argument that's not going anywere, hear this: If Smith doesn't score at least 30 goals this season,I will take off my underwear, wrap it like a sandwitch with my Manchester United poster, eat it,make pictures of me eating it,and post them in this section of the board

Six games unbeaten now, always good to see Spurs clock up another win.
And Defoe didn't exactly do his England chances any harm, nor did Wright-Phillips.
Smith is a great forward, and although I rate him, 30 goals may be pushing it slightly...
I'll give him about 25 goals this season, but 30 if you go all the way in the champions league. Which, in my opinion, if you got Rooney would not be out of the question at all. However, if Rooney comes, Smith's tally is likely to go down....I'll say around 25.
I'm hoping for Jermain to get around the same.
Speaking of United going all the way in the champions league...Imagine an Arsenal United final. Fucking dream land. Or, of course, United Real. Or maybe Arsenal Real would be more entertaining....I'm fantasising now.
I hate Chelsea even more now than I did at the start of the season.
Boring boring Chelsea, anyone? And why the fuck is Joe Cole still even in the squad?

The mightly Liverpool proved that 30 million pounds, a new manager and a new style of play means nothing if your team is utterly shite to start with...
2 defeats in a week to teams our b team should atleast draw with - its looking good for the season ahead, 3 games in and already i'm praying for the season to end leaving us with some residual dignity....
Maybe my hopes were too high (winning the occaisional game or losing but playing well)
I notice 14 million Cisse was on the bench after just 4 games, okay he hasn't set the world on fire but i think he needs more time to adjust.
On more positive notes - Arsenal - truly amazing, i think they will go all season unbeaten again - the league is a racing certainty

Well, Spurs followed that stratergy, minus the 30 million, and we're unbeaten. And we were even shiter (is that a word?) to start with.

No. But they will probably go unbeaten untill November 13.
And no, I'm not joking, and I'm willing to bet on it?

Naybet is playing for Spurs? Class act, maybe a bit too old now.
Shaun Wright Phillips - This guy is great. Kick that arse Beckham out of the England squad and get this guy in.
TURBO AWESOME!

Yeah, he's 34 now. But it will be great to have him for a season, because we have some remarkable talent in defence but we just need somebody to organise them, such as Naybet. A roll that Sol fucking Campbell should have filled...
Oh, and Shaun is far too inexperienced for that at the moment.
Despite how good he is.
0-0 against Everton? Was it me who said United could win the Champions league...
...Because they can.

My team
Newcastle United
have ditched
Bobby Robson
. I'll admit he was getting a bit too old [71] but i think they got rid to soon. I think given the chance he covered of made a decent recovery this season. Anyway he'll always go down as a legend in my book. As for the rumoured replacements
Steve Bruce
,
Gerard Houllier
&
Alan Shearer
. My top choice would be
Bruce
i think he's the only one of the 3 who's proved himself as a manager,
Shearer
obviously hasn't and i think in charge he would act as player manager and probably be a prick permanently selecting himself. As for
Gerard
never liked him and don't really want some scouse reject if he's not good enough for
Liverpool
then he definately ain't good enough for us

I'm really sad to see Robson go - with him i was always sure Newcastle would never be a threat to Liverpool.....but now.....oh no! Another rival team!
Robson was well passed it and the only surprise is they stuck with him this long.

The Sir Bobby Robson Tribute
A true legend in football management, Sir Bobby Robson, has been wheeled out of Newcastle after 50 years in football. Thankfully, that?s more than enough time to make a gaffe or two hundred, and so we pay tribute to the great man.
The Stories
Shola?s nicked name:
Reporter to Newcastle's Shola Ameobi: 'Do you have a nickname?'
Ameobi: 'No, not really'
Reporter: 'So what does Bobby Robson call you?'
Ameobi: 'Carl Cort.'
Sir Forgetable:
Alan Brazil: "I'm delighted to say we've got Sir Bobby Robson on the
end of the phone, fresh from getting his knighthood at Buckingham Palace.
Bobby, terrific news."
Sir Bobby Robson: "What is?"
Brazil: "You know, getting the old sword on the shoulder from Prince
Charlie."
Sir Bob: Eh? [Long pause] "Oh yeah... well, it was a day I'll never
forget."
Who?s name is it anyway?:
Sir Bobby to Bryan Robson: ?Good morning, Bobby.?
Bryan: ?You?re Bobby, I?m Bryan!?
The Quotes
?Andy O'Brien has an horrendous nose, the poor lad. It is massive, it is black and blue and it is awful.? ? Getting personal.
?Titus looks like Tyson when he strips off in the dressing-room, except he doesn't bite. And he has a great tackle." - On Titus Bramble, we think the ?tackle? referred to was his defensive qualities.
"We didn't underestimate them. They were a lot better than we thought"
- After England sneaked through against Cameroon in the 1990 World Cup.
"Hitler didn't tell us when he was going to send over those doodlebugs, did he?" - On why he was refusing to name his England team before a World Cup qualifer against Sweden in 1989
"We're taking 22 players to Italy, sorry, to Spain... where are we, Jim?"
- On whether Paul Gascoigne should have gone to the 1998 World Cup in France.
"There will be a game where somebody scores more than Brazil and that might be the game that they lose."
"Steve Hodge has been unfit for two weeks, well, no, for 14 days."
"Ray Wilkins' day will come one night."
"Tottenham have impressed me: they haven't thrown in the towel even though they have been under the gun."
"Look at those olive trees. They're two hundred years old ? from before the time of Christ!" - Sir Bobby illustrates how great life is in Barcelona.
"If we invite any player up to the Quayside to see the girls and then up to our magnificent stadium, we will be able to persuade any player to sign." ? Playing up Newcastle?s Playboy image.
"They can't be monks - we don't want them to be monks, we want them to be football players because a monk doesn't play football at this level."
- Justifying Newcastle's Playboy image.
"They're two points behind us, so we're neck and neck."
"I'd say he's the best in Europe, if you put me on the fence"
"I played cricket for my local village. It was 40 overs per side, and the team that had the most runs won. It was that sort of football."
"If we start counting our chickens before they hatch, they won't lay any eggs in the basket."
"I would have given my right arm to be a pianist."
"What can I say about Peter Shilton? Peter Shilton is Peter Shilton, and he has been Peter Shilton since the year dot."
"I'm not going to look beyond the semi-final - but I would love to lead Newcastle out at the final."
?Home advantage gives you an advantage.?

Wayne Rooney...27 million - Ferguson has gone mad.
They have just bought Saha and Smith for 22 million..and then they buy....another striker?
Their midfield is half of what it was once and the defence needs extensive work...so they buy a striker they don't need for a really sad price

What? If United are to challenge for the Champions league and major honours, they will need more than just two world class strikers. And you can't just have a league class player as back up.
27 for Wayne Rooney? I'd pay that. You have to remember how much value they will get for their money, given that he is only 18.

Well i don't think he is that special - besides if United want those honours they need new midfielders first....

Well, N. Ireland did well.
Fuck sake! Our defence was terrible, although we do have a few injuries, but that's no excuse. The fact that they scored 3 goals, that were our fault is a shambles. 4 out of our last 7 games have been clean sheets, and then.........
Ah dear. We actually had good possesion in the match, they didn't out play us in midfield. Bollocks. Wales, next. C'mon, the Irish, never give up!
