I can't see Man U winning 3-0 especially, if Real play anywhere near as good as they did yesterday.
They won't need to, 2-0 or 3-1 will put them through

Hmm, true.
Extra time.
They seem to change it every season, and it varies for each competition, so I have a question:
Do away goals count before or after extra time....?

@2-0, I still can't see Man U doing that, without Neville and Scholes, although if Veron is back then maybe. Btw, who would the play instead of Neville?
edited cos danny beat me
but acutually I thought is was after extra time...ah well, it's not like sunderland are ever gonna get into europe so it doesn't matter to me...

Bring O Shea in and re-arrange a bit.
How about bringing Fletcher into it [hihi]
I think that they will play a defensive first half, and attacking second. They may very well change their formation at half time.

I can see Man Utd scoring 2 goals, i just dont think they can stop Real scoring. Unless Veron is back to take control of the ball in mdifield man utd have very little chance.
And Figo meant it. There is no way he a player of his quality would put in that bad a cross; there was only one attacker and it went no where near him. And if u watch his leg action u can clearly see his tecnique is set up for a lob, not a cross.

I think, they'd probably be better off starting off on the offense, becuase sitting back, and letting Ronaldo, Raul, Figo and Zidane play with the football has never, is never and will never be a good idea...(unless they're on your team...)

I know its the lesser European competition but does anyone think Celtic can make it to the eufa cup final. And if they do anyone think they've got a chance of winning it? I mean they've got Boavista tonight and i think they've got a pretty good shot at it, cos they played perfectly against Liverpool; sucking up as much pressure as they needed to and scoring when they wanted.
I'm a hearts fan, so if ur going on the whole catholic-protestant thing, i really should want them to win, but this damn Scottish jingoism gets a hold of me. Wot does everyone else think? Or do u guys just not give a shit about Jockland?

They are a good side, and have the ability to win the Mickey Mouse europeon cup. (Still, it's better than the Cup Winners Cup [hihi]).
I just wish there was more interest in the UEFA cup these days
Same with the Worthington for the last few years. A cup is a cup.
It was good to see the larger teams taking more interest this year.
But I am not a huge fan of Scottish football
I think that English football is extremly good at the moment...it is near to impossible to predict the outcome of most matches.

Yep.
Our advantage: We've had time to regroup and plan our attack.
Their advantage: They're better than us.

[lmao]
I want to see Robbie Keane's goal, apparantly it is really good. Takes it round a few defenders.
See the Spurs score?
We were cost a victory because of another fucking penalty
It would've been quite a good victory for us.
But, I suppose, Leeds apparantly being "in form" (after they played well against Charlton), I suppose it was a good score draw.
Better to have a score draw than a nil nil draw...at least it shows we are still able to score.

hmm.
Not a fantastic match, but it was good enough.
Really looking forward to Wednesday, hopefully should be a great match.
Remmember the first few minutes of the United / Arsenal FA cup match? [hihi]

Hee!
On today: Gary Lineker can suck my fucking dick.
Lucky Arsenal? Bollocks!
We didn't play well, but then look at all our other recent FA cup semi finals! We always scrap through this stage, it's what we do! You'd have to be pretty fucking lucky to beat Man U and Chelsea on the way to the final.
On the goal: I don't really see what the fuss is about. Players run into referees all the time, and nobody makes a fuss. You didn't see any players complaining at the time, but when a team goes on and scores (ages afterwards, btw) suddenly it's a huge issue and the ref's rubbish and we're all cheats and blah, blah, fuckoff.
Sheffied moan too much. A couple of years ago we made a genuine mistake, and in an incredible piece of good-sportsmenship, we offered to replay the game. What did we get? Stick! We actually got stick for the way we handled it, when two years before that Blackburn had done the same thing to us (costing us a place in the champions league) and we didn't even get an apology!
Also, i'm sure if Arsene ever encouraged the crowd to boo the referee after a controversial decision, he'd be in pretty big trouble. The Sheffield manager was an absolute disgrace!
On the save: Not bad, was it?

danny arsenal were very lucky today and you would be foolish to deny it,even if you are a gooner.
if that reff had run into an arsenal player which led to sheffield scoring the winning goal i think you might be singing a differrent tune, plus there was a foul before hand just outside the arsenal 18 yard box.
the save was about the only thing anyone in that arsenal team did right, and lets face it it wasnt the best of headers.

Yeah, the save was pretty fucking good. I mean, it wasn't just a finger-tip touch...the way he managed to get his hand around the back of the ball and
push
it away from the goal line was very impressive.
But I think I am gonna have to agree with BA on this one
The ref ran straight into the player, and it was during the build up to the goal: the ball didn't go out of play or get passed back or stopped between when that happened and the goal.
Although, the goal was disastorously defended: one of the four or so defenders in the box should have just smashed it away.
But, ah well.
It should be a pretty good final.
I mean, at the end of the day, I would prefer to watch an Arsenal / Southampton final than a Southampton / United one...

Sure we were a bit lucky, but then who isn't? Were Utd lucky that Hypia was stupid enough to pull down Van Nistelroy in the 1st minute of the Liverpool game? If it's unlucky when a player
just
hits the post, does that mean he's lucky when he puts it
just
into the top corner? Was Owen's goal against Argentina lucky??
Oh wait, we've been here before.
There are good decisions and bad decisions in games. That's life. We get them against us all the time (last Liverpool game? Just about every red card Viera's ever had?) but we just get on with it, cause the second we acted anything like the Sheffield manager's been acting, we'd be in shit loads of trouble.
The fact is that yes, it was a foul. It was a small, harmless mistake by the ref, and you get a thousand small, harmless mistakes each game. In the second half, a sheffield player did an absolutely appauling tackle on an Arsenal player (i'm talking studs into his thighs, if you don't remember it) and nothing was said about it. The fact that we happened to go on and score is irrelevent. You can't blame an entire game on one tiny mistake that happened on the other end of the pitch.
And players
do
run into refs all the time and nobody complains. Believe it or not, it's happened to us too.
Latest from the Sheffield manager: He wants the referee banned from football and doesn't think he's done anything wrong at all. Where is the fucking FA??

Pah! Is what I say, all these moaning fans, yes the ref impeded whateverhisname's attempt to intercept the ball, but they had ample opportunity to break down the Arsenal attack, and then clear the ball from the box, if they weren't the bumbling 2nd divison side that they are, maybe they would have done so, it's sour grapes, and clutching at straws, a football match is for 90mins not 2.
