Liverpool will be 2nd, with Kuyt they now have an awesome team
Kuyt is a bean pole who can't score goals for Holland with service from Robben and Van Persie.
At least Crouch actually scores for his country.
Liverpool and Arsenal, on the evidence of Saturday, will battle for 3rd and 4th.
Chelsea have won the title already, so it is just a matter of how many points Man Utd finish ahead of the 3rd place team. That is of course, unless Rooney gets an injury that rules him out of several games. If Fergie can't get another striker in, Man Utd may struggle for goals. They won't have a problem in their defence, they've got some pretty experienced internationals so they should be okay, but I wouldn't want to rely on Saha for too long.

You can lose a title in the first month of the season. Both teams are already two points and a few goals worse off in the goal difference stakes. Chelsea won't drop more than about 6 points and Arsenal have already dropped two. And two points dropped at Sheffield Utd is typical of Liverpool in the last few years, they have regularly blown it against opposition who, in theory, they should blow out of the water.

Sorry dont agree.
Liverpool stillhave my bet for 2nd or maybe better.
You cant make predictions based on the 1st week.
Especially since they were away to a newly promoted team scrapping for their lives. Bramell Lane will be a hard place to go for any team i reckon.
Arsenal result was rubbish but they should have won really.
I think this season could be decided on the top 5 playing each other . . Man Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool/Spurs/Arsenal. Each team has 24 points to play for. I think whoever come out top of those will probally decide the positions

the idea of writing off any of the top teams before december is just plain stupid.

Arsenal were 20 or so points behind Chelsea last Christmas. Not even Wenger could orchestrate a miracle to get out of that one. However, I am assured he makes a mean lasagne.
Man Utd have admitted in recent seasons that it has been their form in the first couple of months which has seen them lose the title. Gary Neville admitted it at the weekend.
Chelsea are not going to drop that many points this season, so when you are 2 down after one game, you are already playing catch up.
Forget your fantasy leagues, this is cold hard reality. And remember, if Chelsea are a few points down at Christmas, you know that Abramovich will simply open that cheque book come January 1st.

Top
Chelsea
Liverpool
Man Utd
Arsenal
Spurs
Aston Villa
For the drop
Sheff Utd
Watford
Fulham
Its always 2 from three and an established premiership team
Even me being a Villa fan, I can't see top 6 this year. We used to battle for 4th, 5th and 6th spot but I can see us battling for 6th spot next season.. I think top 8 this year. Although I hope you're right!
Sheff Utd and Watford are massive chances for the drop. I think Blackburn will be in the bottom 5 as well.

Blackburn are a dirty bunch, I do hope they fall this year.
Liverpool were quite lucky to avoid extra time last night. They do have good players but I can't see them beating Man U to 2nd place - or Arsenal for that matter. Kuyt is Crouch, isn't he?

Nah, while I'm not a huge Blackburn fan, they are an entertaining team. Good to watch.
Nice to see that we're picking up the pace though, nice result. Clean sheet, couple of goals. Couldn't ask for too much more really.

another striker, 2 games 8 goals, as for relying on saha 2 games 2 gaols

Good to see Old Ole back on the score sheet tonight.
I think we looked good. Flecther might actually be showing the promise he always threatened to bring. The truth is any team will miss rooney and scholes. But in Carrick, O'shea, Flecther and Giggs i'm condfident we can handle the odd suspension and injury.
Still think we need another striker in january probally. Saha's goal was class but i thought he was a little off the pace for the majority of the match.
I Love to see Chelsea Drop points. Looks Like Chelsea are the first to blink

there are several reason's why alan hanson is a tool - that is simply one of them.
his use of "we" when describing england games being a major one.
The man could've been my father too - he asked my mum out when they were in school back in the day.
