Well, two average teams (Champions League standards we're talking here) have reached the final again, but thank God they're a hell of a lot better than last years finalists. Not a snowball in hells chance that it will be cracker, but it should be pretty good.
Man, the end of the PSV game...Jesus. PSV were very, very unlucky.
Oh, and on a sidenote...5-1

Congratulations Liverpool !!!!
I may hate their guts in the Premier League, but in Europe I'm a huge supporter of all English teams (Chelsea doesn't count:))

I support all English teams in Europe, except Man Utd and Newcastle.
Leeds will be finihsing mid-table, that's ok for us, hopefully promotion next season, get rid of some crap and bring in a few quality signings.

Credited where credits due - well done Everton, they have deserved it by virtue of being ever so slightly less awful than the rest.
No Champions league for us - if we win against Milan i don't care: one champions league trophy ever three or four years will do, of course if we lose (which we will) then it will be painful. But, its football, u gotta take the rough with the smooth.

And last night there was further news behind the scenes at UEFA that will also offer massive cheer to the Anfield faithful, after sources suggested they WILL be given a place in the Champions League next season - if they win this month's final.
Europe's governing body has indicated they will talk seriously about the possibility of allowing Liverpool in as a fifth English team when they meet for their Executive Committee meeting in Manchester on June 18 and 19.
It is understood massive pressure from the Champions League sponsorship partners, and also from television companies, who pump multi-millions into UEFA's coffers, has swung a decision in Liverpool's favour.
The executive board will take the decision if Liverpool beat Milan in Istanbul to place them as champions of Europe as the No.1 seed in next season's competition, with automatic entry into the group stages.
And that would mean Arsenal, Manchester United and Everton would all play in the qualifying rounds
Ohh....eveil capitalists finally using their evil..for good.
That would be so cool to have all 5 in the Champions league

Yeah, it would be stupid if the winner isn't allowed to defend its trophy, but it would be unfair if Everton wouldn't get a Champions League spot.
I really hope Liverpool kick Milan's ass

Me too
Should be a good game. Liverpool get to play in Red, Milan in white - all 4 of Liverpools Champions League trophy's were won with Liverpool in red and the opponent in white....

it would be unfair if liverpool weren't allowed to defend their trophy, and it would also be more unfair if everton weren't allowed in even though 4th place is theres.
but it will be even more unfair if another team from a different country loses their place because liverpool could put a decent run of games together in the league. 5th place qualifies for the champions league? pish.

No, not at all - but its probably best to wait to see how this goes, Glasser could suddenly inject zillions into thye club and be a new hero.

I'll support Liverpool against Milan. Not only I hate italian teams ( speaking of which, are there any italians here?) but Liverpool is coached by a spaniard + we have a few players there as well.
Chances are though Liverpool will play their best match of the season, but Milan will score at the very last minute and walk away with the win as they usually do.

Can't wait 'til tomorrow always enjoy watching last-day of the season relegation battles and this year it's been proper interesting so far. I think
Norwich
will pull it off with a victory at
Fulham
. As long as one of the 'new' sides stays up i'm happy, i hate
Southampton
an utter bollocks team who've deserved to go down for years i pray they go down, and if they do they won't be back they'll end up like
MK Dons
or
Sheffield Wednesday
.

Urm. Yes, Milan are Italian.

Yes.
Manchester United got to the top through sheer effort and gradual increase in quality over the last...I don't know how many years. They were relegated about 50 years ago? Something to that affect.
If you were laughing at, say, if a whole heap of Uniteds best players left in the summer and they were left with no direction then yes, by all means laugh.
But to possibly take what United have truly, truly earnt away from them in this fashion is disgusting. There was no Abramovich as far as United were concerned, they spent the money they had earned, not been given.
I think it's a fucking disgrace.
Danny you, of all people, should see the injustice in it, seeing as like Manchester United Arsenal have reached the top of their game through, just that: the game.
Now, I may be jumping ahead of myself here. The takeover may indeed not be all that tragic.
But, in my opinion, it's not funny. It's clear how passionate the fans are about it.
Maybe if I still hated United as much as I did when I was in school, during the treble winning season, then I guess I would laugh as well...
...But it just isn't funny.

Its strange to see all these genuine Man Utd fans - i've been so used to the glory-hounds i'd kinda forgot they have an actual fan base
Of course all the glory supporters now support Chelsea, strange how many Chelsea shirts u see around now? I guess it must be a coincidence
I do find all this funny though - funny because this is obviosly the start of greater things for the club and yet the fans are determined to see otherwise
As if Man Utd could possible be run into the ground.

You're right.
I just keep thinking though...
Who, who on earth, would want to take over a club that you were not wanted by anybody asside from those who you were writing cheques for?
Unless you feel you can make some money, money that you need, out of it...

I think Bryan Robson should get a big pat on the back. Manager of the season for sure, just beating Moyes.

I don't see why
Robson was ever so slightly less awful than the managers and teams that went down, and luck as much as anything saved West Brom. Robson did a job but i hardly think it warrants such praise
Manger of the season was undoubtably Moyes, with a god-awful squad he kept getting the results, while its fair to say that Everton were not good, they were slightly better than everyone else
Really, after a season like that no one deserves any praise - Chelseas's millions won the league while Man Utd and Arsenal will be dissapointed with their performances and every other team was painful to watch.
I hope for better next year
oh, and Aston Villa securing 10th place with an unerving consistency - they just ain't gonna give that spot up!
