Speaking of which, is anyone else slightly interested in the conspiracy theory going round about Beattie's sending off?
I usually shy away from these theories but, looking at the evidence, it all does make sense. If you watch it, Beattie didn't just headbutt the guy once, he did it weakly the first time and rushed forwards again to do a better job the second time - and after only 7 minutes so it's not likely that he'd be fired up or pissed off about anything yet.
From Chelski's point of view, that was a really huge game. If Everton had managed a win, Chelski would have only been 6 points clear, and they have games against Man U and Arsenal to come, so it's perfectly possible that their lead could evaporate. They have the money (and Abramovich has a history of dodgy dealings
(apparently)
. Beattie, Everton's lone striker was the perfect player to have sent off, and he's only been at the club a few weeks so it's not like he has any loyalty towards them yet.
Beattie's response after the game was "I didn't headbutt him - he'd have been down a lot longer if I had" (very constructive).
I'm not saying I truely believe this, i'm just stirring some shit. It's worth thinking about though, isn't it?

Fuck's sake man, when will you people get off Chelsea's back? They're pissing all over everyone and when they win a game that could have been a potentional slip up you throw fuckin conspiracy theorie's about.
And it's a bit rich for a fuckin scum fan to be talkin about luck, you've had the most of it over the last 10 years.
Chelsea have conceeded 8 goals (I think) all season and you slag them off for being lucky!

Hey, why don't you dig a hole and bury yourself in it? I know Chelski have been king this season, of course they deserve the title, but can I not have a bit of fun and speculate for a bit? I didn't even say I believed it for sure, but have you watched the footage? It is kinda suspicious.

No, I actually don't believe that crap for a second. You're doing exactly what you just criticised other people for doing, blindly criticising the big team and acting like they don't deserve to be where they are because a couple of decisions went their way. Do you not think that maybe if Arsenal get a penalty that shouldn't have been, it's likely that they've been attacking more than the other team and there is more chance of it happening to us than them?
People like you forget that Arsenal haven't always been huge and they didn't get where they are today from spending millions and millions (like Chelsea), Arsenal got big because Wenger made brilliant signings like Viera, Anelka, Toure (all three of which add up to less than 2mil, if i'm not mistaken) and Henry (?10 mil for the World's best striker, anyone?), and many more, and he gradually built a team up that was class. Arsenal worked fucking hard to be where they are now, Chelsea were going nowhere before they were randomly handed 200mil to spend in one year, and now they are top of the league. Of course they have done brilliantly this year, but until Abramovich fucks off where he came from and takes his money with him, they will always be the luckiest team in the league.
But anyway, that isn't why I wanted to post again today. People used to be nice to each other in this thread - they've always been horrible to each other in the other threads and that's the main reason why I don't go in many of them - but this place used to be cool. All I wanted to do in my other post was pass on a fun conspiracy theory that I had heard, did you really need to have a go at me for it?

Why should anyone respect a team owned by a crazy billionaire that likes to play real-life Championship Manager in the most beautiful lague in Europe?
? ?Arsenal, like Danny said, worked very hard to get there.
? ?Man United created a Champions League winning team based on players raised in their own academy and smart signings like Keane or Solskaer. That and good management made them a rich club, not oil money.
Oh,and Axl_Rose_700, in case you haven't noticed, this is one of the few places on Earth where fans of teams like Arsenal, ManUtd, Liverpool or Tottenham all get along, having nice, civil conversations, even if they don't allways agree. Why ruin that?

First things first, I agree with ya it is good we can have a thread where we all get along, but I never slagged anyone off, I said fucks sake but never had a go at anyone, infact the first nasty thing said was piss off by dannytophat. Speaking of which I was on about Man Utd being lucky not Arsenal, and I have never disputed that Man Utd have been superb for the last ten years, just said they have been bloody lucky aswell.

Were you talking to me at that point? Cause i'm an Arsenal fan, not a Man U fan.
I might have taken your post more seriously than it was intended. Sorry about that.

If Sven remainds in charge for long enough they are guarenteed England caps, quite aside from the fact he gives a cap to EVERYONE, he is also notorious for playing people with the 'Beckham' surname regardless of form..........

yea, if Sven got his head out of Beckham's arse for 10 minutes he might see that he's shit and not deserving of an England shirt

Now now
Every player under Sven plays crap - don't blame them, blame the lack of instructions and the 25 substitutions and the completet lack of a formation

David Beckham is an inspirational player for England both on and off the pitch, I simply don't understand why everyone loves bashing him.
He plays well in every position he's played, and the only reason for him not playing great is Sven and all the Real managers.
At Euro 2004 Becks was a right back for most of the time, and at Real Madrid he's forced to play a central defensive midfielder position when his team doesn't have the ball, and then switch to a right/central midfielder when his team has the ball, without going too far in front.
Fergie knew how and where to play him

I'd have Beckham in every England team that I picked...
Saying that Shaun Wright Phillips deserves to be picked ahead of him is a complete joke. (If any of you dare say "but I didn't say.....")
Madman, how about you and I have a conversation about football, and leave these fools to their rubbish jokes.

Arsenal just can't seem to do it the CL, they just didn't look intrested tonight. This seem's to happen every year, i can't put my finger on whats going wrong for them.
Good result for Liverpool though, esp without Gerrard (practice for next season i suppose...)
Shame about their goal, but i sppose its the risk u get when playing Dudeck.
Man Utd/Ac Milan tommo, should be a great game.
As for Becks, he'd always get in my England teams, great player if somewhat flawed in areas of his game.

I had high hopes for Chelsea v Barcelona
But i was bored stupid
Chelsea were very poor and very defensive and Barcelona were weak, how many times did they blast tame shots at goal from 30 yards out?
Man Utd losing at home too - all the English teams bar Liverpool look set to be go straight out.
