Oh dear, it's been 2 wins in 7 games, and both of them have been our U-21s!
Big game against Spurs coming up on satarday. Maybe we should start with the team who played against Everton, and see what happens.

Liverpool fan here. To the guy who for some stupid reason wants to see the Cisse leg break clip, get a life. It's really morbid and inane to search for that.
As far as Liverpool go, our league form is up and down, but the cup win against Middlesborough was a good result and it's good to see that Benitez is looking towards the future and giving players like Mellor, Warnock, Whitbread and Partridge a chance.
I don't expect anything major to happen to Liverpool for at least the next 3 years. Houllier's last year in charge just destroyed the club in every aspect.

Hey!
I'm the board's resident Liverpool fan, don't muscle in on my turf
Houllier did so much damage to the team, but the club was a mess before he took over, as bad a job as he did - when he left the club was better than the condition he found it in. Though that really doesn't say much.
But he did win us a few trophies, there were many good moments to compensate for the dark times.

More Liverpool fans??? Oh well... I look forward to your rants about how your team sucks.
Now on a more serious note, it's true that Houllier had some good results at Liverpool, but his overall managing performance was horrible. Aside from playing a dull defensive game,he let go players like Fowler,McMannaman or Redknapp, the club's symbols aside from the young guns Owen and Gerrard. He chose instead to play with talentless morons, the only example coming to my mnd right now is Heskey.
Now Owen is gone,Gerrard will be out of there soon, the team's soul is gone.

True those three players were the club's symbols, however that's the problem.. the players the rest looked up to, were nothing better than average.. McManaman is a very overated player. Fowler lost his game 5 or 6 years ago. They weren't good enough to carry the likes of McAteer, Rob Jones, Karl Heinz Reidle
etc.

He's a moderator. You're banned now.
But on the topic of him getting a life...
...He's also an arrogant twat.
"Start with the team we played against Everton", get over yourself.
Anyway, fuck off.
So we lost. It doesn't suprise me.
But all of your goals were gifts. (So I was told...I was working)
And also, when was the last time a team scored four against your defence?

In true Man Utd and Newcastle style - when ability fails plan b is the referee and zillions of penalties! Hurray we beat (just) mighty Crystal Palace at home, we won't see many teams of that quality come to Anfield this season.....
....hey wait....Crystal Palace are a third rate 4th division side and we needed penalties to win...grrrr
Oh well, it's a win

Yeah, having two's a bit extreme. Arsenal got in on the act with one against us.
I watched the highlights of the Spurs game yesterday, and Defoe's goal...
Jesus. That's all I'm going to say.

I meant 'cause they've been doing a much better job than the senior players recently, that's all.

I'm pretty sure it was away to Liverpool in 1998, but we'd already won the title by then so that doesn't really count. I think we got hammered by Man Utd in the League Cup since then, but that would've been our third team again.
You did gift us most of the goals, but overall I do think we shaded it overall. I've never seen a game like that before - never! Every single chance in the second half seemed to go in! Both teams were great up front, but really terrible at the back.
5-4 was really great fun, but if it
ever
happens again...
Oh, and does anyone else get the impression when they watch Robben that he is gonna become the best player in the World?

If memory serves we beat u 4-0 at Anfield in the 2001-2002 season. Fowler scored the 4th goal

I went to that game. Was thinking about it the other day, since we're not going to see a scoreline like that for a long time.

That's confidence if ever i saw it
If i remember a 4-0 scoreline against Arsenal was as unlikely then as it is now - the moral of the story is atleast we're no worse than we were then.....

Unfortunatly.
But I like to take comfort in the fact that Drogba will be labelled a flop by the end of the season.

Ok, somebody must know...
Is Shevchenko injured? If so, how badly, and will he be ok for the World Cup qualifying game against Turkey on Wednesday?
