Here Today...Gone to Bed

« on: January 04, 2007, 07:22:17 AM »

I'm quite embarrassed to admit this but I was watching Celebrity Big Brother (well my girlfriend was) last night on channel4 and one of the contestants, Donny Tourettes lead singer of the Towers Of London mentioned how they supported GnR (as one of his few claims to fame)

There goes any shred of respect i had round here! Was it even worth it?

i admit to watching who went into the house last night - but I cant watch anymore. They are a real mixed bag and I cant bear Donny or his band.  Hopefully Towers go the same way as the Ordinary boys post celeb big bro - downhill. Rapidly.  How can he think that his band is as cool, and "dangerous" as GnR??? HOW???!!!

Yea that singer is an idiot.

You'd think he would have the sense to go into the house.. mention his band a couple of times.. come across as a cool guy and bingo, fast and free promotion for his band.

Instead he started swearing at the crowd on his arrival which made him look like a wanabee rockstar considering most people havent heard of him.

then in the house I saw 5mins and he was boasting about how much of a rocker he was etc, name dropping Axl Rose etc.

Well done on ruining a great opportunity to sell yourself and the band. twat.

Shit! ... if that was me and my band who opened for GNR, I'd be stopping peoples on the street (never mind on tv) bragging about it!!!? Mr. Howard would be calling the cops on me cause I'd be so annoying!!!? hihi

Come on guys, where's your sense of humour?

The guy was hilarious. I'd rather watch him come out and tell everyone to fuck off, instead of the endless droves of boring celebrities going in there trying to be all nice and win votes.

His credibility was helped no end by him going in thinking he's the most controversial rock star ever and then leo sayer sees him and tells everyone he used to spend time round leo sayers house.
rock on!
On a plus side it is fairly popular show so if he reels off some GNR stories from this year it can only help increase the awareness that guns are back.

Day two of Big Brother. Even though its fucking awful to watch (my missus watches it not me), our man from Towers of London has just given Axl a good plug by saying what an influence he is. Always nice to hear our man getting plugs in the public eye! I must admit I think this dude from The Towers of London is gonna be pretty funny on BB. Mike
